This charming, pet-friendly cottage is set within its own gardens and offers everything you need for your holiday in the country. The house is situated in a friendly village equidistant to Bath, Bristol and Wells if you crave culture, shopping or fine dining. Those seeking a rural retreat will find historic Greyfield Woods a 5-minute walk away and 3 pubs that serve food within walking distance. Glastonbury, the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge are a short drive away. The Garden Rooms is a quaint, self-contained property that backs onto fields and sits a mere five minutes away from the historic Greyfield Woods. The house mixes both modern and period charms, and was recently renovated from top to bottom with handmade touches such as the custom-built bed nook and the vintage sliding barn door. This cosy home is the perfect place to get away from it all. You'll enjoy your own front garden with fruit trees and benches and chairs for nursing a cup of tea before heading out on one of the many stunning local walks. Stepping inside, a brand-new kitchen offers everything you need including a fridge freezer, a fan-assisted oven, induction hob and the essential kitchen equipment you'll need for making a home cooked meal. There is also a rustic breakfast bar for eating or working, hooks for your coats and even a place to store your shoes. Out of the kitchen window you can enjoy watching the antics of some of our garden hens during the warmer months. A cozy lounge boasts a toasty electric woodburner, a smart telly with Freeview and board games for lazy nights in. The WiFi is excellent, great for those who need to work online or if you'd like to stream movies or programmes through your Netflix account. The master bedroom is the real stunner, with a custom-made bed nook, a reading chair, hooks for a dressing gown and and chest of drawers for storing your things. There is a bookcase with plenty to read including a guide to local walks and the wildlife you may encounter. Behind the old barn door is the bathroom with a hot electric shower and large heated towel rail. Plenty of towels and blankets are provided to keep you warm and dry. We give our guests privacy and will leave you to enjoy your stay. We are always happy to answer any questions and please do let us know if you have any concerns - just send us a message! Parking is street parking only. There is plentiful free parking on Greyfield Road - a 1 minute walk from the house. The property is self-contained and has it's own private front garden. A key safe ensures that guests are able to arrive and leave the house at their convenience. There is a vegetable garden, chickens (in the warmer months), green house and fields to the back of the house. We are sometimes in the vegetable garden and you are welcome to come have a cup of tea out the back if you wish! The house is accessed via a key in a key safe, the code is sent to you before your stay so you can check-in independently. We are not generally around, but are happy to say hello if we bump into you. Please do let us know if you have any questions or concerns! The Garden Rooms is situated in the friendly Somerset village of High Littleton, which is equidistant from Bath, Bristol and Wells, and is within short driving distance of iconic locations like Cheddar Gorge, the Mendips, Chew Valley Lake, and Glastonbury. Bristol Airport is a 25 minute drive through the picturesque countryside. Visitors will feel right at home in our friendly village and will enjoy the convenience of three local pubs which serve a variety of reasonably priced food. You'll also probably want to visit our local chippy, The Haynes, which is something of a Somerset legend. Two local shops provide all provisions you need, including an off-licence and freshly made sandwiches - and both are within walking distance. No visit should be without a stroll through the historic Greyfield Woods and its stunning waterfall, which is loved by both children and dogs alike and sits just a stone's throw from the Garden Rooms. We recommend travelling by car in Somerset. The local buses run infrequently and stop running early evening. Plan to take a taxi to get back from a night out in Bath or Bristol! For travelling further afield to places like Wells, Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury a car is essential. PARKING is street parking only. There is plentiful parking on Greyfield Road a 1 minute walk from the house. The Garden Rooms is in a rural area and a car is necessary for getting around easily as the bus service can be quite limited. Unfortunately due to our work schedules we are unable to offer early check-in or late check-out.
