Just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre is Braddon, Canberra’s ever-changing shopping and foodie precinct where you’ll find a mingled assortment of boutiques, cafes, bakeries, restaurants and bars. At the heart of this hipster haven is Lonsdale Street, which flaunts an exciting variety of pop-up stores and quirky small businesses. The Ori Building in Braddon is home to popular fashion, homeware and design stores such as Handsome Pretty, AGENCY, Assemblage Project, Rebel Muse, a gentleman's barbershop called Groomed and the ever-popular Frugii Dessert Laboratory. Not far away you’ll find Bisonhome and more boutique zones. There is also a stack of cafes serving up delicious coffee and treats. The suburb is well known for its coffee with the original Lonsdale Street Roasters, which now has two Braddon locations. Barrio Collective Coffee is another Braddon coffee spot that’s sure to satisfy even the pickiest coffee connoisseur. For liquid beverages of a different kind, Knightsbridge Penthouse is a great place for music and martinis in the heart of Braddon. Debacle on Lonsdale Street is a long-term Braddon fixture, serving up ales, wine and pizza with a great relaxed vibe. Chill out at some of Canberra’s newest and on-trend cafes and restaurants along Lonsdale Street in Braddon. BentSpoke Brewing Co. provides a world-class beer experience with 18 different beers and ciders brewed on site, while around the corner at Hopscotch you’ll find a beer garden and barbecue, perfect for a Sunday evening session. Prepare to feast! The Elk & Pea Eating House on Lonsdale Street has become one of the ‘must visit’ brunch destinations in the capital for its quirky mix of breakfasts with Central American flair and a breakfast cocktail menu. Not far away, you can try a mash up of flavours and fun at Lazy Su. Inside the Elk & Pea, a South American-inspired restaurant in Braddon The Elk & Pea is a South American-inspired restaurant in Braddon Across the road is the restaurant, eightysix. The owners of eightysix are all about giving people good modern food, booze and a really good time. The name "eightysix" comes from the act of crossing off or '86-ing' a dish from the menu due to the kitchen selling out! The caramel popcorn sundae with peanut brittle, rich popcorn ice cream and a broken waffle cone is quite the hit. Nearby on Mort Street, Black Fire Restaurant serves up a Spanish Mediterranean feast. The slow roasting scents will tempt you to try a little of everything from the menu. Choose from Canberra region wines or maybe a nicely matched Spanish tempranillo. To finish off with desert, the infamous caramel popcorn sundae at eightysix is to-die-for. This list of experiences is just the beginning! Tram, bus and cabs right outside your door. There is no smoking allowed inside the Property, including no smoking on balconies.
