It is only a 30 minute drive to/from Cape Town International airport and 45 minutes from the Cape Town City Center.The wonderful winelands of Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Hermanus are an easy drive away and allows one to sample some of the finest wines and cuisine in the Cape. Somerset West Shopping Mall is 20 minutes away and the Strand Golf Course only 10 minutes. The Arabella Golf Estate is less than a 45 minute drive away via the stunning Clarence Drive, one of the most scenic coastal routes in the world, passing through some quaint towns and villages along the way. Shopping, restaurants and cafe's are conveniently situated near the apartment. Although not on site, Anne will be contactable throughout your stay. Little Bean Coffee Shop is good for light meals and coffee. Zest Restaurant is beneath the apartment and offers light lunches and dinner, as does Tallas Restaurant which is a 2 minute walk away. A South African tradition, the Spur Steakranch is on your doorstep. Seafood lovers will enjoy a visit to the Thirsty Oyster Tavern found at the entrance to the Gordon's Bay Harbour, just past the SA Naval Base. A short drive away is the Harbour Island Marina with yet more casual dining options. The Krystal Beach restaurant offers tasty meals at their hotel of the same name. Sit outdoors on the deck, overlooking the waterfront while enjoying a cocktail and a beautiful sunset. Bikini Beach Books is a quaint bookstore, open until 21h00 and well worth browsing through. The Danie Miller Hiking / walking trail is nearby for those interested in walking off the indulgences enjoyed at the cafe's and restaurants.
