Modern, chic self contained annexe with patio seating and beautiful gardens. In pretty village tucked amidst the rolling hills of Devon and close to the river. We are surrounded by footpaths and cycle routes. Only 5 miles to the nearest beach. Betwixt Dartmouth and Totnes. Dartmouth is by the sea and a popular sailing harbour; Totnes is a friendly market town, renowned for its alternative ways and cultural diversity. Accepting and embracing of people from all backgrounds. It's self contained and very private. All clean and good quality. Very airy and bright. Patio doors lead out on to your private patio with table and chairs. This is a sunny spot in the morning for breakfast. Later in the day there is the top lawn with bench where you are welcome to sit and enjoy the view and afternoon and evening sun. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. Front driveway and separate entrance. Back private patio to the accommodation and further garden space on the top lawn with bench and barbecue of the main house. Yes I am available to share local information and recommend places to visit and interesting things to do. I enjoy hosting; the accommodation is self contained private and separate but attached to the rest of my home. The neighbourhood is very friendly, with a great pub just 3 minutes walk up the road The hunters lodge. We hold village events during the summer; fetes & BBQ's. (if covid 19 are lifted!) There is a beautiful river walk on the door step and many other footpaths. It is tucked away quietly and is very beautiful. Wildlife is profuse. True, relaxed Devon hospitality awaits you. There is little public transport (shopping bus Wednesday and Friday's into Totnes from 9am to 1pm) Geoff runs a local taxi service; but you will need a car for touring. There are great cycle routes; be prepared for the hills and of course beautiful walks. Ferry from Dartmouth over to Kingswear and the beautiful gardens of Coleton Fish acre. You can also take a passenger ferry from Dittisham the next village along by the river and go across to The old family home of Agatha Christy now run by the National Trust. There is poor mobile phone signal at the accommodation; but the Wifi is excellent and if you have a modern enough phone you can receive mobile signal via the wifi. Watsapp etc. is of course available. You lose signal as you drop down into the village. T.V. (BBC I player) is streamed from laptop or tablet on to a large screen. So bring this with you. An HDMI lead is available and connects the two. There is a USB port on the large screen for an amazon fire stick if you have one. There is also a DVD player with a large selection of DVD's, and a radio.
