Unique "Scandi" Style Mill Cottage
A fresh, light, modern cottage in a unique "Scandi" style design, tastefully decorated this year with new colourful soft furnishings, interesting lighting and much more. It has one bedroom, an open plan living area, kitchen and wet room, with underfloor heating throughout. It is set between working sheep farms and is ideally situated for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, enjoying the adventures of Snowdonia, or just relaxing away from it all. The cottage has been finished to a very high standard with quality bedding and Eames Style furniture in the living and bedroom areas. The Tempur double mattress just finishes things off for your comfort. There is a tv and unlimited Super Fast broadband just in case you need to catch up on emails or want to watch a film. The modern kitchen area has a built in oven, hob with extractor fan and fridge/ freezer. There is also a microwave, toaster and kettle, everything you would need to prepare a meal. Walking:- Caroline your host, is a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor, and has a wealth of knowledge on walking routes of all distances in the area and has left maps and walking guides for you to use. Mountain Biking:- If you want to bring your Mountain Bikes, the cottage is very close to cycle routes numbers 40, 5 and 8 along with various other outstanding routes on the Llyn Peninsula. There is a collection of cycling maps and information for you to use during your stay. Coed y Brenin mountain bike centre is only 40 minutes drive away for your ultimate cycling off road experiences. There are also a number of recreational paths near the cottage that are ideal for biking as they have been converted from old railway lines. Guests have their own parking space, a large garden with upper and lower seating areas. There is an area for a portable BBQ if you wanted to bring one along. There is also space to store two bikes behind the cottage for safe keeping. Once you have booked the cottage, and ten days before your arrival, Caroline will send out a You Tube Welcome Video that tells you everything you will need to know from checking in, what’s in the cottage and the checking out procedure. It also shows you how to get to the cottage, along with some lovely 360 drone shots of the location. Caroline is also available to give you guidance on places to visit and activities in the area. "A Great Base for Exploring" Llanaelhaearn is known as the "Gateway to the Llyn Peninsula" and the cottage is ideally situated as a base for your stay to explore both Snowdonia and the local area. It is 20 minutes drive to the towns of Caernarfon, Pwllheli and Criccieth and 30 minutes drive to the buzzing centre of Abersoch. Llanberis is just 30 minutes away, which is a great place to park for walking up Snowdon. For a unforgettable trip on the longest zip wire in Europe "Zip World" is only 40 minutes away in Bethesda. On a more relaxing note, Trefor Beach is just five minutes drive away, and is great for evening walks, dolphin spotting and watching the sunset. There is a local bus service from the village in Llanelhaearn which runs hourly to Caernarfon and Pwllheli, where you can connect to a good network of buses to get you around the area, the village is a 15 minute walk from the property. There is also a train station in Pwllheli and Bangor. A car is recommended as there are no shops or pubs within walking distance.
