The FarmHouse

Mr Jhurry's Farmhouse is a real Mauritian Farmhouse complete with orchards, farm animals, a stream, lots of organic fruits and alsatian guard dogs. Situated a few hundred metres from the main road to the iconic Balaclava beach, the Farmhouse provides both a cozy, healthy retreat and quick access to some of the best Mauritian beaches. Add to this the happy humourous anecdotes of Mr Jhurry, retired British driving monitor, and NHS Psychologist, who will be glad to host you and loves kids too! As can be seen from the photos, The Farmhouse is a REAL farmhouse with real animals and real plantations. It is located on the edge of the Citron River, with a high-end residential colony on one side and its plantations on the other. Among other things, there are abundant Litchi trees, goats, cats, farmdogs, and a few workers that live on separate quarters. The guest studios are adjacent to the residence of Mr Jhurry, a retired British NHS Psychologist who is enjoying his old age with his lady amonng nature. Guests can rent one of two studios, complete with bedroom, bathroom, private living room and kitchen. There is a common external landing and one of the studios is on the first floor, just above the first one. The view from the top is amazing. Guests can pretty much use all spaces except the private quarters of the owner and the living quarters of the workers, as long as they dont interfere with the farmwork. We are reachable by phone and email, and guests are welcome to join us for a quiet evening with a Phoenix Beer, a worldwide awarded Mauritian Brew . The Farmhouse is on the edge of a private residential estate, with its plantations and farmland adjacent to the houses. With the Citron River on one side, a high-end private residential colony on the other and the rest being its farmland, the Farmhouse makes for a quiet, peaceful and pleasant retreat for people in need of grounding with nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Guests will need to use a car as the farmhouse itself is about 1km off the main road. Additionally the main road does not have much as public transporation as it leads to a quiet public beach. Obviously we can provide rental cars for an additional fee.
