Amazing Ocean Views, Five Minutes to Beach, Pet Friendly.

Our home, named 'Wave House' (its shape being reminiscent of waves and the famous northern beaches surf) sits atop a cliff with magnificent views of bush and beach, and enjoys both the glow of the sunrise and the deep red hues of sunset. The house is light-filled, airy and welcoming. The best of both worlds is here - we are minutes from numerous beaches and waterways and the lovely boutiquey villages of Avalon, Newport, Palm Beach and Mona Vale, and only an hour to the bustling Sydney CBD by Express bus, yet the feeling of peace, calm and being 'away from it all' is amazing. From the decks of the house, which overlook native bushland, you can see as far as the Central Coast, over 40 kms away. Looking to the right you can see open ocean, and spot whales (in season) on their way north to give birth, and at night the twinkle of lights on passing ships. Looking to the left you can see the calmer water of Pittwater, ideal for sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding etc. We are above the treetops, so wildlife spotters will love watching goannas, birds of prey circling below and the noisy cockatoos flying from tree to tree - they, and a variety of parrots, may also visit you on the deck from time to time. At night, dining al-fresco on the large deck is a must. Have drinks and nibbles watching the sun set, then dine with thousands of stars. It's just like fairyland! When you are ready for action, explore all the northern beaches from the famous Palm Beach (known for its fab restaurants and cafes, and for many celebrity homes) to bustling Manly. Many beaches offer surfing lessons and great places for dinner, or just good coffee. From Manly you can take a ferry to the CBD and all it has to offer. Closer to home, a short walk up the quiet street you'll find an organic food shop (great coffee!) a convenience store, a bottle shop, a pizza place and, if you have been a little too active, a physio! A walk to Bilgola Beach is a must (easier there then on the way back , but good exercise!) for a swim and brunch. Most of the ocean beaches have frock pool for babies and toddlers, and for those more adventurous, great surf breaks.
