Moorfields cottage on the Somerset levels
We have a separate listing for our other room in Moorfields B&B (same cottage) under the listing 'Moorfields cottage second room' But we DO have space for 4 people travelling together. Moorfields is a cottage built in the 1780's of local stone and a thatched roof. We have two rooms via a stone staircase, each with their own en-suite, one has a dressing room, both are full of charm. Quirkiness basically. A relaxing stay, great food, lovely gardens & lots of birds. Parking at Moorfields is plentiful. There is a large wooden sign outside the cottage, alongside that is a gravel drive, take that...you will be in the carpark, we usually hear you (or the dogs do) and we meet you there & take you to your rooms via the front door. Whilst visiting local areas, most car parking is free & plenty of it. Buses are non-existent. The above is strange :-) I/we tend to play it by ear, guest dependant. Some people want interaction, some want to keep it to the minimum. We are happy either way. However, we are available for tourism advice, chats over breakfast..we have other things to do during the day, so appreciate time to get on..mostly with the ironing in my case! :-( Wine tours, Cider tours, great pubs, great eating, Farm shops, Glastonbury, Wells & Lyme Regis all within 45mins. Haynes Motor museum, and aeronautical museum at Yeovilton, 15 mins. Llama walking, Clarkes Village for shopping, 25 mins away, basket making, bird watching,. canoeing, rivers and Starlings. loads to do!! You need a car, but parking is plentiful & free in the local area. We are a traditional B&B. So to us that means, you get breakfast, a selection of cereals, tea/coffee juices, fruit followed by a cooked breakfast to your liking. I am afraid we don't have any cooking facilities for you to use, most go out to eat of an evening or get takeaways..And I am more than happy to lay up the dining room table for that purpose & clear away :-)
