Theea Cottage - Village, Sea Views, Splash Pool

Historic hill top village 200 year old property set seven minutes up the hill from the sea with the wonderful sandy beaches of the South just twenty mins drive away. Great views from the balcony and terrace, two king size bedrooms, shower room and large open plan kitchen-diner lounge. Splash Pool NEW May 2020. Village Tavern a two minute walk away, sit under the lemon tree set with a marble table to take in the views with a glass of wine. Drive time to/from Corfu town and airport 45 minutes. Two bedrooms on the ground floor with a large shower room - stairs lead up to an open plan lounge with kitchen in the corner and dinning table. Out of the kitchen door and a few more steps lead to the terrace with marble table and splash pool. The cottage is all yours during your stay - my cousin Sue lives in the next village ten minutes away for any advice and questions. Entry to the cottage is via a Key Box - code is provided shortly before your stay. I am in the UK during the Summer and use the cottage in Spring and Autumn for my holidays. But Cousin Sue and Spiros her husband are close by - Sprios works as a chef not far away so you can have a drink or meal with him and he can tell you all about the area. Chlomos is a 300 or so year old Venetian hill top village, very picturesque. It has Balis tavern with is very reasonably priced and friendly and a coffee shop and locals wine bar. The closest supermarket is KKK - down the hill and turn left, ten minutes away. For a big shop follow the road for Lefkimi where there is a big supermarket and a lidl. Boukari which you look down at from the balcony is known for fish Tavernas - Boukari Beach Tavern is very nice, the beach here is pebbles.....I prefer going to the other side of the island (20 minutes drive) where the beaches are all sand and slope gently into a shallow sea. You really need a car - I normally book Avis - the airport is very small and the car hire is one minute walk outside of the terminal, then a 50 minute drive south on the coast road till you turn up the windy hill for the village of Chlomos. I have had guests take a taxi to the village before (45 Euros) - they walked down to the beach most days and got a taxi back up.....staying in the village at night and become one with the locals and regulars at Balis Taverna. Parking is on the hill road 25 metres from the front door - one bend down below Balis Taverna.
