The ideal getaway. Altinev is spacious and light with your own front door and off-road parking located in a quiet farm area on the outskirts of Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula. Come explore stunning scenery on the West Coast of Scotland with direct access to the hills and lochs for kayaking, sailing, wild swimming, walking, hiking, running or cycling. Free wifi, Netflix, books/games provided. Ask about half-price car ferry tickets. Deep cleaned after each use. Cleaning products provided. Altinev Annexe is just 4 minutes walk from the main road but a world away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic views, fresh air, peace and quiet makes this a relaxing retreat to get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors right on our doorstep. The annexe is perfect for long or short stays. Great wifi speeds, a large table and office chair can be provided if you wish to work remotely. If you enjoy the outdoors , there is a vast network of bike, walking trails and miles of forestry road right behind our house. On your walks don't be surprised if you see Red Deer, Pheasant, Buzzards, Red Squirrels and more. Altinev annexe is spacious and light with all the home from home comforts you need for a quiet and relaxing stay. You will have the entire annexe to yourself and have your own entrance and parking area. You are welcome to use our garden and we have a picnic table, sheltered outdoor area and fire pit. We will give you the peace and quiet to enjoy your stay but are right next door and available for help and advice if needed. Sandbank village has a post office and general store and next door is a fish and chip shop/kebab and fast food takeaway. The local pub, The Oakbank Hotel, often has live music. The Holy Loch Coffee Shop offers local produce cooked to order and excellent coffee and home baking. The Holy Loch Marina and Loch Eck offer opportunities for diving, boat rides, sailing and kayaking. Ardnadam Heritage Trail is a 5 minute walk from Altinev Annexe and is a beautiful woodland walk leading to an archaeological site with iron age and neolithic remains. Benmore Botanic Gardens and Holy Loch Nature Reserve host a variety of wildlife from Red Squirrels to Buzzards, Heron and Osprey. The main town of Dunoon with supermarkets, pubs, shops, restaurants, cinema and leisure centre is only a 5 minute drive away. There is a bus stop 4 minutes walk down the farm road on the main road and buses are generally every hour. If you have a car you can explore the wider area of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and visit Glasgow (1 hour away), or Edinburgh (2 hours away) We can do laundry for you as laundry room is in main house. There is a local laundry service available in Dunnon also. We can give access to an iron and ironing board also
