Welcome to Cairnfold Cabins located in Central Scotland between Glasgow, Stirling & Falkirk. Corrie & Willow Cabins accommodate families of up to six guests & Bracken, families of up to five guests. (Strict maximum of 4 adults per cabin) This is based on two guests sharing a double bed and two guests sharing a double sofa bed. The additional bunk beds/z beds (depending on which cabin is booked) are designed only for children. Our cabins have underfloor heating to ensure a comfortable stay all year round. With en-suite shower room, private hot tub, kennel and cycle storage, we really do cater for all types of vacations from fun filled family holidays, walking/cycling breaks, to the romantic getaway! With a private hot tub at each of our pods you can relax under the stars and take in the peace and tranquillity. If you wish to bring your four-legged friend you may book the private kennel located at each cabin. A maximum of two well behaved dogs are very welcome to stay in the kennel for a small charge of £5 per dog per night. ***Please note that we have a strict 'no pets in cabins' policy for hygiene and allergy purposes*** so if you intend to bring your furry friend please ensure you contact in advance of your stay to book the kennel. Remember to bring your pets bed and bowl! Cabin Layout Each cabin has a different internal layout which is noted below. This may help direct you to the most suitable cabin for the numbers and ages of your party. Corrie - one double bed with a single child's bunkbed above and a double sofa bed. A 'z' bed can be added as an additional child's bed when requested. Willow - one double bed, a set of children's bunkbeds and a double sofa bed. Bracken - one double bed and one double sofa bed. A 'z' bed can be added as an additional child's bed when requested. What is included inside your cabin: • Underfloor heating • Wall mounted flat screen television • Electrical sockets and USB points • Hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster • Cooking utensils • Crockery and cutlery for up to six people • Frying pan and pot • Mugs and glasses for up to six people • Tea, coffee, sugar • Washing up liquid, hand soap, toilet paper • Hairdryer • Linen pack including mattress protector, flat sheet, duvet, duvet cover, pillows (Website hidden by Airbnb) and cases. We provide a basic towel pack including two bath towels, two hand towels, a tea towel and dishcloth per cabin. These are for indoor use only. Please bring any in addition to this that you may require for outdoor/hot tub use. What is included outside your cabin: • Patio area with outdoor dining table and seating • Fire pit • Private hot tub • Private Dog Kennel (if booked, a maximum of two well behaved dogs may stay in (Website hidden by Airbnb) the private kennel at each cabin. £5 per dog per night) • Private and Secure Cycle storage is available for each cabin on request. Your key will be located in a key safe at the front of your cabin. If you have not received the code from us by the morning of day of arrival please message us and we will resend it. If you wish to immerse yourself in the history of Scotland then come and experience Stirling or Edinburgh Castle, The Wallace Monument or Antonine Wall and Roman Fort. For all you Outlander fans, a trip to Doune Castle that played a leading role as Castle Leoch is a must. Explore the 14th Century courtyard castle with a striking 100ft high gatehouse and one of the best preserved great halls in Scotland. Visit the multi-award winning Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre in Stirling with cutting edge 3D technology. Experience the medieval combat and discover more about this crucial event that shaped Scottish history. A twenty-minute journey takes you to the vibrant city of Glasgow, renowned for shopping, great restaurants and exciting night life. Culturally Glasgow offers many galleries, museums and striking architecture. The Capital offers a host of cultural and historical attractions. It is home to the world’s largest arts festival during the month of August and the spectacular Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Towards the end of June a visit to the Royal Highland Show is a super family day out and if visiting in December be sure to soak up the festive atmosphere and enjoy some shopping up the Royal Mile and at the Christmas Market. Nearby you can spend a day taking in the modern-day feats of engineering at the Falkirk Wheel or Helix Park with the magnificent Kelpie sculptures. Also to be enjoyed here are cycle trails, an adventure zone play and splash park and pedalos on the lagoon. For those family activity days, enjoy an exhilarating trip to M&Ds theme park, entertain the family at Blair Drummond Safari Park or ride the Tornado Tantrum at the Time Capsule Waterpark. Close by are also opportunities for both alpaca trekking and pony trekking. Located on our doorstep is the John Muir way and Forth & Clyde canal towpath network from Kilsyth to Falkirk which both offer super walking and cycling opportunities. Alternatively have a leisurely afternoon aboard a hired canal boat and enjoy the views and nature from the water. We are fortunate to be surrounded by many parks and local trails. In particular the Colzium House and Estate offers beautiful woodland walks, a visitor centre and museum, garden café and playpark. We are not on a bus route. Croy train station is 5 miles away by car Lenzie train station is 6.5 miles away by car *** Reopening 26th April 2021 *** From the latest Government update it is looking positive that holiday accommodation within Scotland will be able to reopen on the 26th April 2021.  This will be for single household bookings only until at least the 17th May when a further update will be given.   We very much look forward to welcoming our guests back. Any bookings that are affected by the restrictions will be contacted by email.  Included in the booking price is a private hot tub at each unit...everyone needs a little luxury! A private kennel can also be booked at each cabin for an addition £5 per dog per night, up to a maximum of two well behaved dogs. (Please note dogs are strictly NOT permitted inside the cabin at any time for allergy and hygiene purposes). We also provide free, secure private cycle storage on request. Come and join us for a fun filled holiday with an array of attractions nearby from castles, safari/theme/water parks, to the modern day feats of engineering at the Falkirk Wheel or Helix park, showcasing the magnificent Kelpie sculptures.
