Cute & stylish modern 1 bedroom house with a lovely sunny cottage garden. The house is a mix of modern and retro furniture. Has a fully equipped kitchen, plus a lovely garden to sit out in. A quiet residential area, yet only a stroll to nice local pubs, great restaurants, bars & local shops. Free parking right outside. 2mins walk to Peckham Rye Park. 10mins walk to Nunhead Station for quick transport links to St Pancras/Kings Cross, Blackfriars, Victoria, Farringdon, Greenwich (and more). The house is a contemporary, bright and colourful space furnished and decorated in an eclectic mix of modern and retro style. PLEASE NOTE: There is a cat living at the house (you'll see him mentioned in the reviews!), he's very friendly. SO PLEASE only book if you are ok with that. He's very easy going, an outdoor cat so no litter tray, all you need to do is put down food for each day. He makes the place feel very homely and will welcome you on your arrival. The ground floor has oak wooden flooring throughout, the space is lovely and open, leading out into the peaceful cottage garden, with a greenhouse. You can relax and unwind in the sun, where you can eat outside with seating at either ends of the garden, it's very sunny from early morning onwards. The sitting room has a large dining table, three-seater sofa, lots of book & magazines you are free to read, large flatscreen with BBC IPlayer and Netflix, a record player, iPod link to an amp and digital radios. There is WIFI throughout the house with a fast stable connection (70MB). There is a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, pots & pans, cupboard space for your own food, and a table & chairs to eat at looking out to the garden. Upstairs there is one bedroom with a double bed, fitted carpet and a wardrobe with hangers provided. The bathroom has a shower and full-size bath, shelves for your cosmetics. Towels and soap are provided. You will have the entire whole house and garden to yourself. I will be available by phone or email for your entire stay. The house is situated on the corner of a quiet residential street. Two minute walk to the lovely Peckham Rye Park, which has a great cafe, duck pond, kids playground, outside gym, bowling green and much more. Two minutes walk to the historic Nunhead Cemetery and reservoir, where you can take in the beautiful views across London. Nunhead Lane, 10 min walk, is famous for its bakery, cafes, fishmongers and florists. 1 min walk from mine is The Ivy House pub - the UK's first ever 'community owned' pub - serving local and guest ales and delicious grub. They also have live music. A stroll across Peckham Rye Park finds you in East Dulwich, or 15 mins you are in Peckham Rye with all the great restaurants, bars, galleries and pop-ups. It's a 12-minute walk to Nunhead Station (Zone 2 to Blackfriars, Victoria, St Pancras, Farringdon) or 15mins to Honor Oak Park or Brockley stations (Zone 2/3 to London Bridge & The Overground East London Line to Hoxton, Shoreditch, Dalston etc). 20 mins walk to Peckham Rye (Zone 2 to London Bridge, Victoria, Kings Cross, Farringdon & The Overground East London Line to Hoxton, Shoreditch, Dalston & Clapham Junction). The 343 or 484 bus stop 2 mins walk away takes you to Peckham Rye station. The 343 also goes to Elephant and Castle or London Bridge. Central London is 10 - 15 minutes by train or around 45 minutes by bus. Please note a cat lives at the house.
