Self-contained chalet ideally situated for Bangor, Conwy and the sights of Snowdonia / North Wales. Located in the village of Llanfairfechan - 5 minutes walk to sandy beach and incredible mountain walks. Close to public transport (train / bus). *Perfect for a relaxing short break - easy access from London & Manchester via train* Basic and small but comfortable and clean in a very handy location. The bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe. The kitchen has an oven, hob and worktops. **We have recently installed fibre broadband and electric heaters to keep you toasty during winter** There is an outdoor seating area for you to enjoy. Let yourself in with the lock box. The front garden is yours for the duration of your stay. If you would like to chat and find out more about the area, we would love to help. Likewise if you tell me beforehand what kind of things you would like to do / see, I can give recommendations. This is particularly handy for eating out, because for most places (especially in current times) you will need to book in advance. So just let me know, and I’m more than happy to be your concierge to help you get the very best out of your stay. Our place is in the centre of Llanfairfechan, a lovely village with easy access to Snowdonia and in a perfect location on the North Wales coast. *All the photos are of places which you can easily get to on foot from here. There are lots of really lovely walks so you don’t need a car to enjoy your visit* The village is just off the main A55 route which goes from Holyhead through to Chester, making it very easily accessible and giving great access to all the main attractions. It is also on the main bus route and train line. We have a gorgeous beach offering fantastic walks, runs and views across to Anglesey. You can reach the beach in 5 minutes walk from our place. There are several good mountain and coastal walks you can take from the village, giving direct access to the Snowdonia National Park. Aber Falls waterfall and the Aber Falls gin distillery is also just down the road. Our place is also a few minutes walk from everything you might need (local butcher, co-op supermarket, cafe, pubs, takeaways, gift shop). Conwy with its walled town and castle is about 15 minutes drive away, and is easily accessible on the bus. Llandudno is also in easy reach with the Great Orme and other attractions. Bangor is also less than 15 minutes away, and also on the bus route. Llanberis (for Snowdon) is around 20 minutes drive away, as is Zip World. If you are looking for good places to eat, we can give you recommendations for restaurants and pubs. Likewise if you are arriving by train, very happy to pick you up from the station (provided we’re around). We are directly on the bus route to Bangor / Conwy / Llandudno (the bus stops right outside our house). We are approx 5 minutes walk from Llanfairfechan train station. Nearest train station for Virgin trains from London is Llandudno Junction. If you are coming from London it is quickest to get the direct train from Euston to Llandudno Junction, and we can help you book a taxi from there (15 mins). Otherwise if you are driving, we have off road parking and are a easily accessible from the A55 expressway. Bangor is just under 15 minutes drive away, as is Conwy. Llanberis is about 20 minutes away, and Menai Bridge for Anglesey is also 15 minutes away meaning you can be on the island in no time. The chalet is completely self-contained but adjacent to our main house. So while the garden is yours for the duration of your stay, we may have people passing through - including our children and visitors. We have 2 friendly dogs who will also be around. The dogs are not allowed in the chalet, but please don’t book if you don’t like dogs or would be annoyed by the occasional bark! This is place to stay if you are happy to be in a great location for visiting North Wales attractions and / or walking on the hills. With a friendly host who is always eager to help! It’s probably not for you if you plan to spend a lot of time indoors or do a lot of cooking, as the chalet is basic and there isn’t a lot of living space. There is fast, reliable WiFi available throughout the chalet (new for 2022). If you are on EE phone you will have mobile signal but other networks especially Vodafone may be patchy or worse. There is no central heating but we have electric radiators in the bedroom and kitchen / diner. Please note the bathroom in particular might be a bit chilly in the winter! It is not luxury accommodation. If you are looking for somewhere with guaranteed peace and quiet and all the mod cons, this isn’t for you. But if you want somewhere clean, in a great location with comfy bed, private bathroom and (Website hidden by Airbnb) could be the spot for you.
