Historic Valley House in the Barossa Valley
Min stay 2 nights, Check in 2pm - 8pm Check out 10am. Our guest suite has your own private entrance and is in the middle of Lyndoch, our lovely little country town. We are in the Barossa Valley and minutes away from world famous wineries and plenty of attractions. Valley House is a great base to explore the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and Adelaide. Our guest suite is spacious and a short walk to the local cafe, restaurant, bakery, general store, hotel, pharmacy and several wineries. The guest suite has a spacious lounge/ dining room, bedroom and en suite bathroom. Our fireplaces are NOT operational. Your comfort is assured as we have reverse cycle ducted air conditioning and a ceiling fan in your bedroom. We provide coffee and tea making facilities, a microwave and small fridge. You are welcome to play our antique piano. Please be gentle as it is a family heirloom. You have the entire dining, lounge, bedroom and en suite bathroom to use. You access it via your own private entrance. You are welcome to wander around our work in progress garden. We have a very large car park (from the days when Valley House was the town library) you are welcome to use. We live on site and will be around if you have any questions but you will have complete privacy as our historic home is very large (it was the old town library). Valley House is really two buildings joined in the middle. We live in the 1867 built cottage and you will be in the first half of the grander 1910 built building. We look forward to welcoming you and providing keys and information on arrival. We are blessed with an award winning cafe, a delightful bakery, a delicious restaurant, a great country pub, a nice park, a peaceful recreation ground (including tennis courts) and many fantastic wineries within a stone's throw. We also have a walking trail and bicycle trail that runs right through the Barossa Valley (Gawler to Angaston) which is within two minute's walk. Driving is easy with much to see within minutes. There are a number of taxi services within the Barossa Valley and many tour companies so you can visit wineries very comfortably. We also have a walking trail and bicycle trail that runs right through our town and the Barossa Valley. You won't see it all in a couple of days. In our opinion, the best way to enjoy the Barossa is to slow down and explore. A couple of weekends per year in the Barossa to unwind and recharge is a great way to go and each season provides it's own flavour.
