Folques is a small village with a big heart. Visitors are welcomed here openly and warmly. Visit the filipe Gomes cafe a few doors down and you will see first hand what a lovely community it is! At the end of the street there is a public space with a small childrens park, toilets, picnic seating, BBQ area and a 'Praia Fluvial' swimming spot - created by a small dam in the river. This is a wonderful spot for sunbathing and swimming in the summer months. Close by there are multiple Praia Fluvials - you will be literally spoilt for choice! Car is essential - for this area and for allowing you to explore and see the sights. However once here - there is a local cab service if you fancy a night out!
