Tylden Tranquility
Set on an historic one-of-a-kind 1000 acre property in the Macedon Ranges, this charming cottage will provide the ultimate escape. The cottage is away from the workings of the day to day farm, with its own garden, so there is a feeling of privacy. It has a cosy wood fire, reverse-cycle aircon, Netflix, queen beds in both bedrooms and an additional single bed. The gorgeous setting lends itself to enjoying a morning coffee or dining alfesco while taking in the beautiful landscape. The farm itself is the home of a functioning sheep and beef enterprise, so there is a working farm atmosphere plus the opportunity to see native wildlife such as kangaroos, echidnas, wombats and a host of Australian birds in their natural habitat. Each season offers its own special feel: An abundance of flowering bulbs in Spring, the smell of newly mown hay in Summer, the thrill of snow in Winter and the abundance of colour in Autumn. Meanwhile, the farming cycle goes on: Lambs, calves, crops, vegetables. The cottage is all yours. Feel free to wander around the property, excluding the private residence. Please be respectful to the livestock and wildlife. The cottage is on the family property. We’re accessible should there be any queries or to provide advice about the local attractions. The property is situated perfectly in the middle of three treasures in the area: Woodend (and Hanging Rock / Mt Macedon), Trentham (including the Falls and historic township) and Kyneton (with the gastronomic and artisan delights of Piper St). And Daylesford is only 25 mins away. Plenty of room to park your cars. You’ll need your own transport to explore the area. This residence offers guests an authentic taste of rural life without the responsibilities! You’re in the middle of one thousand acres of farm land: secluded, peaceful and therapeutic.
