A lovely, spacious detached 4 bedroomed early 1900's home, set in the foothills of Dartmoor National Park, yet within easy reach of a small market town. Our home has a beautiful kitchen with Aga, sitting room with wood burner and large breakfast room with two sets of french windows opening out onto the garden and terrace. There is one family bathroom, with a shower over the bath and a downstairs cloakroom. The house has a private gravelled driveway and large enclosed garden, with a ping pong table in the garage. (There is a self contained annex attached to the house which is occupied. It has it's own entrance and parking and will not affect your stay. It has no garden access so rest assured that the garden is all yours.) This is a lovely location to take some time out and explore Devon. The Granite way is a 5 minute cycle from the door, winding it's way to Lydford. This 12km ride offers unrivalled views of the moors from the Meldon Viaduct. Long walks and cosy village pubs are less than a 10 minute drive, and the coast is a mere 40 minutes to one hours simple journey away. The local town offers all the amenities you would need, selling local produce, swimming pool, gym and cinema. There are many great fishing spots in the area too, so we often host families where a part of the group go fishing and are then joined by everyone at a local pub to the fishing spot! Also only 35 minutes from the historical cathedral city of Exeter, which boasts a newly refurbished museum, many delicious eateries, the lovely river Exe to go canoeing/kayaking or cycling along, or simply browsing the shops and ally ways. Private driveway. Large flat privet garden surrounded by trees. We will leave you alone! However someone will be on hand if you need advice or there is a problem. 5 minutes from Dartmoor by foot, 5 minutes from Waitrose, Lidls and Co-Op by foot, 5 minutes from a beautiful park and good sports centre by foot!
