Lovely Yarra Valley farmhouse with beautiful views

A spacious farmhouse in the heart of the Yarra Valley. This beautiful three bedroom property has a wood fire, spa-bath and views over the mountains. Set on thirteen acres of garden, orchards and farmland but only a 5 minute drive to Healesville Lavender Farm is a beautifully appointed house that can accommodate 2 to 6 people. The veranda that runs around the house allows you to follow the sun or the shade and enjoy the views of the mountains or valley. The house is fully self-contained with a well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms ( one with spa-bath), washing machine and dryer and TV and DVD. The property is not a commercial lavender farm but has many species of lavender growing in the garden as well as a lemon orchard and vegetable garden. Well socialised dogs are also welcome (and generally don't want to go home! ). The living area and all bedrooms have reverse cycle air conditioners and there is a wood fire in the lounge room. There is a BBQ on the veranda of the house and plenty of outdoor picnicking spots. There is free wifi and a selection of books and DVD's. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast provisions featuring local produce to start your stay. You are welcome to use herbs, vegetables and fruit from the garden when in season. Our family swimming pool is also usually available for use by arrangement. The property attracts a fantastic variety of birds and you can watch the parrots on the bird-feeder outside the kitchen window. (or in the fruit trees helping themselves to our fruit!) We have a separate house on the property and are available to assist with advice on the attractions in the Yarra Valley or help with any aspects of the accommodation. Our golden retriever and spaniel are always thrilled to see guests so you can expect a warm welcoming party. If you are looking to stay with a larger group ask us about our self-contained studio on the property that can sleep two additional guests (Yarra Valley Pool House studio) Our property is set on a beautiful 13 acres in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The Healesville Sanctuary is about 2 km away and you are a 5 minute drive from a range of Yarra Valley wineries, Tarrawarra museum of modern art and the cafes and artisan shops in the township of Healesville. The Great Dividing ranges and walking trails are just a few minutes drive away. There is no public transport that services the property so you will need a car to enjoy the area. Out tariffs are based on two people: additional guests are $25 per night per person. On weekends we have a two night minimum stay. We have a porta cot and high chair available for no extra charge and the house is wheelchair friendly.
