Do you want to stay far away from the crowds, and like to explore our beautiful and tranquil countryside? Following narrow dike roads along meandering rivers? Visiting lovely villages, fruit orchards, and do you enjoy a private garden? This renovated Farmhouse in the heart of Holland offers a unique opportunity to enjoy Holland at its very best. All mayor destinations (amsterdam Rotterdam, North sea coast line) are within an hour drive. Compared to a hotel, our rates are great! ’t Voorhuys is spacious (110 sq mtr.) and furnished for complete comfort and relaxiation. The ground floor features a large living room with views of the garden and green meadows, a kitchen with dining facilities for four people, a toilet and a separate space equipped with a washing machine. The first floor features a large bedroom with a double-bed (180x200), which can be converted to two single beds upon request, a bathroom equipped with cupboards, a washbasin, a shower and a second toilet. The house can host up to six guests, max 4 adults an 2 children recommended. The bedroom on the first floor offers a queen-size bed, and also a separate double bedstead, there is also a comfortable sofa bed downstairs that can easily be converted into a double bed in the living room. You can access the garden through a small gate on the right side of the house. The garden forms part of the gorgeous English garden surrounding ’t Voorhuys and the farmhouse next door. .We explicitly ask you to regard the garden as a quiet area. We live in the house next door with the entrance tucked away behind ’t Voorhuys. You will thus enjoy both privacy and easy access to us (for questions or requests) during your stay. This area itself is much loved among the Dutch locals for its stunning countryside, well-preserved medival towns such as Leerdam, Gorinchem, Kedichem, Acqouy, Beesd) along the river "Linge" and many possiblities for cycling and hiking. Leerdam railway station at 4 km. Bus 85 (twice an hour) will take you to Utrecht Central Station in 26 min. (busstop Kortgerecht/ Blauwbijl at 5 min walking) The garden is surrounded by ditches. Although the ditches are not deep, guests with small children should be cautious about the water.
