Amaroo Bayside Beach House is a quaint coastal abode, overlooking the picturesque Edgcumbe Beach, with just a short stretch of grass separating the property from the beach. Perched among a mere handful of dwellings, you will not only enjoy uninterrupted views of the ocean from dawn until dusk, but should you take the few steps to experience the beach, you will often enjoy this charming bay all to yourself. Amaroo Bayside Beach House is a true coastal escape.A very short wander through a secluded beach and brief coastline trails, will land you on Hellyer Beach, a 2.5km stretch of sandy coastline which is equally uninhabited. At Edgcumbe Beach, opportunities for swimming, fishing, beach combing and water sports are boundless, and in the cooler months, you will enjoy observing the moods of the bay by a crackling woodfire. (A heat pump is also provided). Pods of dolphins are often spotted frolicking in the bay, and in recent times, the occasional whale. Although a destination in itself; an invitation to unwind.. being situated on the Tarkine Coast opens up endless opportunities for adventure and exploring. Each booking has exclusive access to the house. The Burnie airport is at Wynyard, only a 25 minute drive. The historic township of Stanley, featuring The Nut, Historic Highfield House, and Stanley township is only a 20 minute drive. Situated in the Tarkine, attractions include the Trowutta Arch, Dip Falls and Blue Hills Honey Farm. Right on our doorstep is the beautiful Rocky Cape National Park, with it's walking tracks offering picturesque views of the coastline and wildflowers. A day trip to the rugged west coast will take you to the Edge of the World and the Arthur River Nature reserve just south of Marrawah. In the eastward direction, you could discover the amazing Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, or in the springtime, the breathtakingly colourful Tulip Festival at Wynyard. Amaroo Bayside at Edgcumbe Beach is a truly unique destination. Detention River and Rocky Cape Roadhouses are close by and both have take-aways, limited groceries and fuel available. Woolworths supermarkets are situated at Wynyard and Smithton. Public transport is not available, so you will require a car to get you around this beautiful area. - A light breakfast is provided for the first morning of your stay. - The fridge includes a small freezer. - Beach towels are available for your use. - This property does not have wheelchair access.
