Lions Sanctuary is an ample mansard with view of the wonderful piazza from the flat and the loggia - Perfect for couples (with baby), good friends or single guests - ample, sunny mansard with kitchen, table and living space - a beautiful bathroom with artistic tiles from the local artist Sonia Folie - loggia/balcony with table and chairs for the extravagant private sunbath or evening conversation with friends - living space: 40m² + loggia - shared room for your ski, snowboard and hiking equipment - a laundry with washing machine and tumble-dryer - private parking in front of the house (and in front of the church) - we will welcome you at the day of your arrival and show you the flat and its household - we are very happy to help you with all your requests (for instance if you need a mountain guide) - there is a lot to discover in South Tirol. Feel free to ask us anything! The "Piazza Fié di Sopra" is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Fié (Völs am Schlern). Until the 20th century it used to be a small village with a blacksmith, a wheels maker, a farm and an old tavern by the name of "Löwenwirt" (Lions' Inn). Its centre was formed by a small chapel with an ample garden. If you like panoramic views, the frontside of the chapel will be the place for you! Winter: South Tyrol is a skier's paradise! The Alpe di Siusi can be reached in 10 minutes by car or public transport, other nearby spots are Val Gardena and the Sella Mountains. Skating and sledging can be enjoyed at the idyllic Völser Weiher. Spring Summer: Do not miss the nearby Völser Weiher (bathing lake) and the castle Prösels. Völs is a wonderful area for hiking and mountain biking (Dolomites), for day trips the alpe di Siusi is perfect. According to "Magazin der Süddeutschen Zeitung", one eats particularly well on the Tschafonhütte and the Gostner Schwaige. We can confirm that from experience :-) Autumn: Autumn is the time of harvest and vintage. Völs has some very good "Buschenschänke" and "Völser Kuchenkastl" (Traditional Harvest Specialties) to offer. Hiking and mountain biking in September and October are possible depending on the weather! We will provide information upon your arrival about public transportion, Fié/Völs and the Dolomites.
