Tucked away on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Box in the Cotswolds is this charming 400 year old cottage. Tastefully decorated and yet fully modernised Nut Cottage offers three double bedrooms, a large kitchen, lounge, dining room and family bathroom. To the front of the cottage is a garden laid to lawn and shrubs overlooking woodland and to the right is a footpath leading straight into the woods, perfect for walking and with a magnificent view across the valley. The property has free wi-fi in all rooms. In the living room is a Smart TV with Freeview and access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, You Tube and other Apps. There is also a Blu-Ray Player and a selection of DVD's. All electric appliances have been PAT tested, the electric circuits have been professionally certified and there are smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in situ to ensure that you feel safe while on holiday. We also provide a stairgate and travel cot to save you bringing your own. The entire cottage is yours exclusively including the enclosed garden which is to the front of the property and is laid to lawn, shrubs and flower beds. During your stay Kate, the property manager, who lives locally will be available for any needs you have or to answer any questions. Nut Cottage affords magnificent views across the valley and is a 5 minute walk from Minchinhampton Common from where you can look across some of the famous Five Valleys that lead to Stroud, including Slad Valley the home to Laurie Lee, author of Cider with Rosie. A five minute walk in the other direction and you will enter Nailsworth, a charming little town home to a host of independent shops, cares and restaurants. Nut Cottage is only 30 minutes from Gloucester and the Regency Spa town of Cheltenham, and within 45 minutes from the Roman town of Bath and the historic docks of Bristol. Closer is the Cotswold town of Cirencester and the antiques Mecca of Tetbury, which also boasts two very famous Royal residents! The cottage is easily accessible from the M5 and M4. Stroud is 10 minutes away from where via rail there is direct access to London, Bristol and Birmingham. The bohemian town of Stroud also offers a theatre, music venue, leisure centre, museum, canal walks and large farmers market every Saturday. The cottage has immediate access to numerous walks, ideal for exercising both the dog and the children!
