Private suite with river views in a quiet neighborhood. Accessible to the quaint coastal communities of Maine and New Hampshire. Close to Kittery Foreside and Portsmouth. This space consists of two generous sized rooms. One has your kitchenette, a sofa, and a double-sized bed, and the other a single bed, table for dining or working and a comfortable chair. Your private bathroom is down the hall, and the apartment has several large closets for storage. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. Everything you need to prepare a simple meal! In addition to a private deck overlooking the harbor, guests are welcome to enjoy the backyard patio with a spacious lawn leading to a woodland path on state owned land accessing a pleasant swimming hole in the nearby creek. I am always available by phone or text to help and answer questions about dining or recreation in the area. I'll leave the front door open for you; please go up the stairs to your suite of rooms. A set of keys will be on the hall table. At the end of the back yard is a path over a small hill through state-owned land to Barter's Creek which is warmer than the ocean and therefore a pleasant place to swim or to picnic on an often accessible island. Walk a little further to find picnic tables and a playground and walk across the road to historic Fort McClary with beautiful harbor views. There is a 2-mile walk named by residents "the loop" which travels past the town and riverfront and then through a beautifully wooded road back to your home-away-from-home. Hiking trails in preserved areas and wonderful beaches abound within a five-minute drive from your lodging here in historic and quaint Kittery Point. We have a wonderful restaurant called Frisbee’s Wharf just a two minute walk from your door that includes ( in summer) an outdoor seashell patio on the water with great typical NE seafood and an island bar. There is a restaurant launch to bring you to the venue should you arrive by boat. There is also a restaurant called Bistro 1828 which serves wonderful fine food with a Ski Club Bar on the third floor providing the same menu ( delicious aps) and a picture perfect view of the harbor and beyond. We also have a store, called Provisions, providing essentials including home baked pastries, soup and sandwiches, the usual basics and wine and beer. All the staff are friendly and helpful. 😊 Most guests arrive by car which is usual but not absolutely necessary. There is off street parking at the house. Guests without cars have walked to Kittery and certainly our restaurant and small store within a five minute walk is an important asset. There are Ubers and also a taxi service. When you arrive there will be cold and hot cereals, breakfast pastries, fresh organic fruit, tea, coffee and organic 1/2 and 1/2 and hot chocolate. I welcome children and have some toys available as well as a Pac ‘n Play. There are also several lawn games provided and the space in which to play them. This is a non-smoking environment.
