If you want acces to the entire house please book for 3 people (this way the extra cleaning charges are included for the additional rooms) The chalet is 180m2 and has 3 floors, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower, a garden with a family den area, a fully equipped kitchen and fireplace. This deck is exclusively for our Airbnb guests upon request. The double arch stone bridge, the “Ponte dei Salti” built in the 17th century, is one of the most distinctive sights in Lavertezzo. The Verzasca River is a favorite swimming and watersport destination for those who love to take a dip. Certified divers can enjoy a diving experience up to 10 meters deep in its intensively green waters surrounded by unique rock formations eroded after many centuries. Two of Switzerland's eleven UNESCO World Heritage Sites are in Ticino. Bellinzona’s three castles (Castelgrande, Montebello and Sasso Corbaro) and fortified walls have been listed since 2000. Discover the charm of a lost world dating back more than 200 million years at Monte San Giorgio, protected since 2003, complete with an extremely informative Fossil museum. The 18th century village church with its typical baroque characteristics is well worth a visit. This village is also a starting point for unique mountain trails along the Pincascia, Carecchio, Agro and Orgnana valleys. Outdoor enthusiasts will find a full range of activities including canyoning, river rafting, tubing, stand up paddle boarding, and others. On land, enjoy tennis, go-karting, cycling and much more). During the winter months, enjoy cross-country skiing and ice-skating at local rinks.Feeling courageous? Try a spectacular bungee jump off the 220 meter high Tusker Dam on Lake Verzasca. The opening scenes in Goldeneye, the 1995 James Bond thriller was filmed here. You can jump between April and October, reservations are recommended. How to get there: By car ·From the north: take the St. Gotthard Tunnel or Pass and then stay on the A2 motorway as far as the exit marked "Bellinzona North / Locarno". ·From the south: cross the border at the customs point in Chiasso, take the A2 motorway in the direction of Lugano and stay on it as far as the exit marked "Bellinzona Nord / Locarno". Now follow the signs for Locarno and leave the road at the T21 exit marked "Tenero / Valle Verzasca". ·From the west (Luino, Verbania, Domodossola or Simplon): follow the road signs for Locarno and then turn onto the cantonal road for Bellinzona. ·From the Lucmagn/Lucomanio Pass: travel down the Blenio Valle as far as Biasca and then turn onto the A2 motorway. ·Just before you arrive to “Ponte dei Salti” turn right and you will see Sambugaro street sighs. By train/ Bus There are no train stations this deep in the Valley so if you take the train the best solution is to exit at Tenero, and take the Bus 321 to Sonogno. The Bus trip takes approximately 30 min (exit at “Lavertezzo Paese”), and after a quick 10 min walk you will arrive to Sambugaro.
