Ideally located in the Vercors natural park. Close to the sublime Route de Combe Laval and 20 minutes by car from the slopes of Font d'Urle. This old high-altitude barn will allow you to recharge your batteries in the greatest tranquility while enjoying the activities offered by the mountain, summer and winter alike. For ecological reasons, the house is equipped with dry toilets and fed by rainwater, jerrycans are at your disposal to collect drinking water in the village. Clinging to the side of the mountain, this former 19th century sheepfold has been restored by respecting the strong identity of the site by craftsmen who respect the heritage. During its renovation, ecological solutions were favored, such as the choice of a dry toilet with separation. Its original stone structure has been preserved and gives it all its charm. The decoration is deliberately sober and discreet so as not to distort the place. We have found most of the furniture and objects, which contribute to the authentic atmosphere of the place. The result is a warm and intimate space, conducive to exchanges, sharing and meditation. The 100 m2 chalet offers 1 large common room of 35 m2 with open kitchen and wood stove, 2 bedrooms with double beds (180/200cm and 160/200cm) and a dormitory bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds, 1 bathroom water with walk-in shower, 1 toilet with dry toilet, 1 covered terrace, 1 covered shelter with ping pong table and surrounded by several hectares of forests and meadows (nearest neighbor at 600m). The house is located in the town of Saint Jean en Royans, a local village, where you will find several bakeries, grocery stores and small local shops, brasseries, restaurants etc… In summer: The charming outdoor municipal swimming pool is accessible in 10 minutes during the months of July/August and only on weekends in June. In Winter: Enjoy the ski slopes of Font d'Urle (20min) or the superb Skating area from the Col de Carri (10min). The house is isolated in the forest 8km from the center of Saint Jean en Royans. Accessible by road but snow equipment is essential and mandatory in winter. The final access to the house (± 100m) can only be done on foot in the event of heavy snow. Towels provided.
