Avocado Garden Cottage

In a quiet, secluded, leafy garden in Glenwood. Private, self-catering, fully furnished and equipped, with a bedroom, kitchen, living room/bedroom, bathroom, and private outdoor area. Relaxing, peaceful space for tourists, travellers, visiting researchers, academics, exchange students, and interns. New reliable Wi-Fi! Centrally located and close to shops, restaurants, the city, universities and beaches. The cottage is close to the busy heart of Glenwood but the setting is calm, tranquil, leafy and typically Durban. The space works well for individuals, couples or friends. There is an extra double bed in the living room so that it can also be used as a second bedroom. Guests love the outdoor private spaces around the cottage. The courtyard which is partially covered, has a large table and chairs which can be used as an eating area or as an outdoor working space. The area around the avocado tree (after which the cottage is named) has a small table and chairs as well as an outside divan. The cottage is at the far end of the garden behind the main house with an entrance from the street through the pedestrian gate and along the side of the house. It is completely self-contained, fenced and private but you are welcome to use the swimming pool, washing machine and washing line. We are very happy to offer help and advice during your stay and to make suggestions about our favourite restaurants, shops, beaches and places of interest. Glenwood is a friendly, dynamic, multi-cultural, vibrant suburb. Glenwood Village Shopping Centre is a couple of hundred metres from the cottage which makes it very convenient for grocery shopping etc. Most of our guests use Uber or metred taxis but the cottage is within very easy walking distance of Glenwood restaurants, Glenwood Village Shopping Centre and Bulwer Park. Note that we do not have off-street parking. We have a very friendly labrador, Daisy.
