Traditional farmhouse apartment

The apartment is situated in a 400 year old farmhouse. The farmhouse is built around a central courtyard with a mature garden and pool area adjoining it. Grocery shops, bars and pastizzeria are all within walking distance. Public transport is close with connections to the airport (5mins), Valletta (25mins), Sliema and many other places of interest. A short walk thru the countryside or bus ride will take you to Blue Grotto, Hagar Qim. Parking is available free in the street The apartment has 2 bedrooms, each sleeping 2 guests. Guests will have access to the apartment through the main door and hallway of our farmhouse. The entire apartment is situated on the second floor of the farmhouse thus it offers complete privacy. Access to the apartment is either thru a traditional stone spiral staircase (garigor) from the hallway or thru a limestone staircase directly from the courtyard. The apartment and patio are for the sole use of the guests and are not shared by anyone else. Guests are also free to make use of the other outdoor areas including swimming pool, sun loungers, roof terrace, etc. We will respect the privacy of our guests, but will be available for any questions or suggestions. Any pre enquiries are welcome. The village is a typical Maltese village with a small population; however the connection with public transport is very good. Valletta is only a 25 minutes bus ride away. The village is very quite away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. It is ideal for those who want to enjoy the beauty of Malta and at the end of the day retreat to a quite yet traditional paradise. Also the airport is close by so it is ideal for anyone who needs to catch an early or late flight. Mqabba has two village feasts, one in mid-June and one in mid -August. Celebrations are over a week span, where the village is full of activity and streets are lit up full of traditional decorations. The culmination being the music synchronised fireworks spectacle. Mqabba offers also many other heritage places, such as; • St. Micheal Chapel, • St. Basil Chapel, • St. Catherine Chapel, • Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel, • Hal Millieri Chapel. If you want to discover Malta at your own pace, our suggestion is to rent a car (book online for a better price) which is also available for pickup at the airport. Alternatively you can use public transport as the entire island is covered and the nearest bus stops are within walking distance. There is one flight of easy stairs to access the apartment, we can provide a double bedroom downstairs if stairs are a problem, please enquire prior.
