Romantic Forest Hideaway Byron Bay Hinterland

Beautiful eco friendly home within a sub tropical rainforest setting in the hinterland of Byron Bay. 20 meter infinity lined lap pool over looking a crystal clear creek surrounded by granite rocks and tall trees. A unique, peaceful, relaxing natural setting. The Romantic Forest Hideaway is located in the Hinterland of Byron Bay, in a village called Goonengerry, just a 35 minute scenic drive from Byron Bay town and beaches. The Hideaway is situated on a 75 acre multiple occupancy sub tropical rain forest property, with 5 shares, all on their own parcel of land located away from each another. By car you are 20 minutes to Mullumbimby, 20 minutes to Bangalow, 30 minutes to Lismore, 50 minutes to Gold Coast Airport and 50 minutes to Ballina Airport. This is the perfect place for those wanting privacy and to be immersed in nature. This home is owned by a Yoga Teacher, who recommends it for those needing a place suitable for meditation, yoga, writing, painting, or just a beautiful place to enjoy nature, rejuvenate and relax. The house is fully equipped with a flat screen TV, large, comfy lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. There is large timber deck overlooking the 20 meter infinity lined lap pool with a large timber table for dining and a day bed for lazing. For the winter months there is a wood fire heater, and a electric heater in the bedroom. The spacious bedroom is housed in a separate dwelling, from the main house, and has its own verandah with stunning views over looking the sub tropical rain forest, the 20 meter lap pool and the creek below. The bed is king sized with a comfy futon mattress on a timber base. Just beyond the pool is a Balinese Bale providing the perfect place to sit and meditate or just be in silence with only the sounds of nature. A little further away you can stroll down to the babbling creek which is surrounded by large granite rocks. This unique retreat is Eco friendly. It is run on solar power, plus mains power. It has a composting toilet (normal toilet seat) and a open air shower with a sunken bath tub (outside) so you can view the forest while bathing in the day or the stars while bathing at night. The outdoor bathroom is a unique feature of this property. To keep this property looking amazing we do have a regular grounds maintenance person that comes each Tuesday for around 3 hrs in total (9am - 12 noon) this includes time spent at a smaller cabin up the road and each Tuesday fortnight we have a gardener maintaining the gardens from approximately 9am - 4pm (this includes time spent around the grounds of a cabin not far away). Although the house is very private and it is the last house on the road, occasionally there might be some maintenance work that a neighbour is doing on another part of the property, that might mean awareness of that, as there is one road into the property that affects everyone. There is wifi satellite internet and a land line (no mobile reception). INTERNET: The internet usage is only suitable for checking and sending emails and messages, internet browsing and messages via messenger. It is NOT suitable for downloading movies, watching movies or Youtube movies. The reason is that the internet is satellite and has limited GB per month and if this is not adhered to the next guest will not have any internet to use. We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your honesty with the internet use. To support the nourishing environment that this retreat place provides, there are also massage and facials available on site by appointment for guests. See the information sheet provided inside the house with phone numbers and options. There is a 20 meter lap pool, for those that like to swim or just cool off in the summer months. You are a 10 minute drive to Minyon falls and the Whian Whian National Park and a short scenic drive to all the surrounding towns, interesting villages and amazing beaches. We offer this beautiful and unique home for couples, however, there is a day bed in the main living area. If you have an extra adult guest, please discuss with me as I will need to arrange the cleaner to have the day bed made up (or leave the linen) and there is an extra tariff for any extra guests per night to cover utilities. This listing with pool is not suitable for toddlers or young children. Guests are reminded that this property is in the middle of the rainforest. In the forest there is an abundance and diverse range of native fauna (frogs, wallabies, spiders, lizards, goannas and other native fauna). Please tread carefully when you are walking around outside and at night please always take a torch with you. Guests have full access to the whole house, which is made up of a main building, with high raked ceilings, which includes the kitchen, living area and a verandah over looking the pool. The private bedroom is in a separate dwelling with it's own verandah and views over looking the majestic forest and the pool. Guests staying in The Romantic Forest Hideaway also have access to the creek and the meditation bale not far from the house. Guests have full private use of the Hideaway. Note: The creek itself is accessible to neighbours, therefore, you may see others down by the creek although this is rare. They only have access along the creek and not on the grounds of the Hideaway. As this property is a Multiple occupancy, there are other neighbours, all houses are situated on there own parcel of land. Giving privacy to each other. A short drive away on Repentance Creek Road you will come to Minyon Falls within the Nightcap National Park. A beautiful place to visit to view the falls, bush walk to the bottom or choose a shorter walk or to have a picnic within the Park. Due to the location you will need your own car for this property. Care does need to be taken driving over the speed bumps. If your car is low to the ground it is best to drive slowly and diagonally over the speed bumps. A 4WD is NOT required. Occasionally there might be a vehicle that needs to turn around in the carpark area of the house as there is a big turn around area there. This house is a shoes off house and no smoking inside the house.
