Welcome to this poppy-themed romantic hideaway in the diplomatic quarter of Budapest, affectionately nicknamed "Poppy." Poppy is a fully renovated private studio that is the perfect launching pad for excursions to the city. You'll only be a 5 minutes' walk away from the most popular sites of Budapest such as City Park and Heroe's Square. With great public transport and secure parking spots around the studio, exploring the city center of Budapest will be simple and fun. We finished remodeling the Poppy studio just a few weeks ago so what you see in our image gallery is really what you'll get. :) One of the most convenient highlights of the Poppy is its location. The "party district" buzzing with ruin bars and pubs, stylish restaurants and historic buildings is only a 15 minute walk away. If you cross the party district, you'll arrive at the river Danube which offers a great view on the sloppy hills of Buda. I recommend you take a walk on the river bank after sunset to view the endless series of beautifully lit bridges crossing the river. The City Park to the South is only 10 minutes away and it hides Budapest's most popular thermal bath: the Széchenyi Spa. So if you want to chill out and get away from the noise of the city, explore the City Park to relax and find some of the hidden gems that it offers such as Vajdahunyad Castle, The Zoo, the City Ice Rink (a lake in the summer) and Robinson Restaurant. A BRIEF HISTORY: The building that accommodates the three studios was built in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , almost a century ago. The majestic apartment towers above the hustling and bustling embassy district surrounded by a nest of public transportation hubs that make getting around Budapest easy and fun. The Poppy studio, a hidden retreat sheltered behind the monumental walls with a century-old legacy, has recently been completely remodeled to make your stay in Budapest not only memorable but also comfortable and convenient. The studio inspires the senses with a refreshing blend of classy design and artistic elegance. The interior was designed by a renowned professional whose passion about modern design choices compliment the century-old architecture of the building in a unique and exciting way. Unlike the bulky fireplaces of the old days, a bio fireplace requires no wood to burn and it makes no smoke so it needs no chimney to function. It's a safe, eco-friendly device that will help you relax and ease into a deep sleep at night. If you're wondering why, the answer is simple. It simply doesn't need one. Even during summer time, when the outside temperature goes as high as 30 °C, the indoor temperature rarely goes above (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) °C. Please note that even though the Poppy Studio is 100% private and only you will have access to it, there will be 2 other similar quality studios near yours. We assure you that this will in no way disturb your privacy in any way. The studio is bout a 10 minute walk from Andrássy út, a beautiful street crossing the city center that leads to Deák Ferenc Tér and to the Danube Promenade. A few blocks to the South from the studio you'll find Városliget (City Park), Széchenyi Thermal Bath, the Zoo and several other points of interest that will help you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in the tranquil embrace of nature and Hungarian culture. The party district (Király utca, etc.) is just 8 blocks away from the studio. HOW TO REACH THE STUDIO FROM LISZT FERENC AIRPORT: You can reach the Red Poppy Studio from the airport in 47 minutes by following these 3 simple steps: #1: Board bus line 200E at the Airport and ride it to Kőbánya-Kispest Metro Terminal. (22 minutes) #2: Board Metro Line 3 (the blue one) and ride it to Wester Station. (20 minutes) #3: Walk about 2 minutes to reach Podmaniczky Street and Board Trolley Bus 72. Ride it to Bajza Utca, which is pretty much at the entrance of the apartment. (2 mins walking + 3 minutes bus ride) NOTES ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: • Bus Line 105: The nearest bus stop is a 10 minute walk away from the Red Poppy. It will take you to Heroes' Square, Andrássy út, Oktogon, Opera, and Deák Ferenc Square. • Trolley-bus 72: The bus stop is right in front of the apartment building. In about 3 minutes it takes you to Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Station) which is probably the single biggest hub of public transportation in Budapest. • Metro Line 1 (yellow) is just a 15 minute walk away from the Red Poppy. It stops at Szécheny Thermal Bath, Heroes' Square, Andrássy Út, Oktogon, Opera, Deák Ferenc Square and Vörösmarty Square. • If you're up for a nice walk in the diplomatic district, then these popular attractions are only (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes away: Heroes' Square, City Park (with Széchenyi Thermal Bath, the Zoo, the Ice Rink and Vajdahunyad Castle). PARKING INFORMATION: • Paid (on-street) parking opportunity on Podmaniczky Street. Hourly rate (08:00 AM - 06:00PM): 175HUF. Weekends are free. • Star Park Group secure parking lot: Podmaniczky street 95. parking (only 5 blocks away from studio): 0-24 hour reception, hourly rate is 160 HUF, daily rate is 1,500HUF, half a day is 1,000HUF. Below are some useful information about the studio: 1.) Whenever you want to lock the door, first you'll need to press the door handle all the way up before you turn the key. 2.) Please turn off all the lights in the studio before you leave the studio.
