Extensive bike paths and bush walks Our cottage is close to the Dandenong Ranges: The Dandenong Ranges " will transport you to one of the continent’s lushest green forest and land of the Eucalyptus regnans; the tallest flowering plants in the world. These tall temple pillars of the Dandenong Ranges are one of the most sought-after views in the area. Aside from the Eucalyptus regnans, you can also visit the Emerald Lake, Olinda Falls, Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens, Cardinia Reservoir, Sherbrooke Falls, Grants Picnic Ground and Sherbrooke Forest. HIKING: "The Olinda Falls and Mechanic Track hike is a 4.4km, grade 2 circuit hike located in the Dandenong Ranges. The hike should take approximately 1.5 hrs to complete and is a great family hike. Located in the Dandenong Ranges, Olinda Falls is a perfect place to have a quiet picnic, short walk and spend time with the family." The cottage is completely separate and private to our home, which is 100m away. Offering safe onsite parking for 2-4 cars. Your pets are welcome, but must be well behaved, toilet trained and vaccinated. Please mention you have a pet when booking. Fresh linen and towels supplied. Should you need a helpful guide for a day, let me know by email. Our sleepy, little neighbourhood consists of narrow country lanes and walkways. Primarily a residential area, this is a quiet and considerate neighbourhood with noise and music kept to a minimum. Easy access to taxis and bus, it will take 50 minutes to reach Melbourne City by train. By car it take 3 minutes to Mooroolbark train station. Continental breakfast consisting of a "start-up- kit: selection of teas and coffee with milk and choice of cereals and jams. (kettle & toaster supplied) The kitchenette comes equipped with a bar fridge and microwave. Bbq is available for guest, upon request, supplied with all utensils and condiments. The kitchenette has no oven.
