Aurinko guesthouse Carefully, vintage furnished caravan in the heart of the Cathare Pyrenees: breathtaking view of the Pyrenean piedmont, woods, grasslands and sunset. The caravan has a double bed in a tiny separate bedroom, a cozy living room with TV, and an equipped kitchen area (microwave, induction hob, mini-dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle and Senséo coffee-machine). The guests have unrestricted access to a large outdoor Scandinavian hot tub and barbecue. Privative outdoor garden around the caravan, Scandinavian hot tub (with massage jets and colored led lights). Outdoor (protected) Italian shower and toilet, garden table and barbecue. Continental breakfast included in the location: homemade bread & brioche, eggs from our chicken, coffee, tea, jam, butter, yogurt, cheese and cold meats. Several hiking trails accessible directly from the guesthouse (delicious mushrooms may be found in the woods nearby from July to November!), Cliffs equipped for climbing (expert-level E4-E8), ruins of a middle age castle and the famous waterfalls of Roquefort all accessible by walking distance (<3km). Unmissable sights in the surroundings: castle of Foix and Montségur, medieval cities of Mirepoix and Carcassonne, caves (Niaux and Lombrives), many prehistoric sites and thermal activities. Bathing areas: Lac de Montbel, Mondély ... Without forgetting the famous waterfalls of Roquefort-les-cascades, worthy of a setting from Lord the Rings! As the accommodation is a caravan, the surrounding noises (nocturnal animals, rooster, rain ...) may seem very present: indeed, the sound insulation is not as effective as in a house. This is what makes this unusual experience so charming, but we advise sensitive sleepers to bring earplugs :-)!
