Great location to visit the sights of Taranaki, the beautiful coast and beaches only a short drive away. Comfortable holiday home is set with a small wooded area in a rural setting in the grounds of the owners home. The cottage is bright & comfortably furnished with the bonus of a conservatory seating area for cooler days. Off road private parking. There is a open plan living area with a modern kitchenette that has a fridge and microwave to prepare basic meals and snacks. Queens size double bed in the bedroom with a built in wardrobe and sofa bed in the lounge area offers a separate sleeping areas or space for a 3rd guest. A heat pump offers heating and cooling in the unit and a new 40'' TV provides wireless internet with Netflix and You tube facilities for entertainment during your stay. Driveway and wooded area by the cottage. Available on request and happy to help with local information and sight seeing. New Plymouth offers beautiful parks & gardens with lakes and an abundance of bird life. The coastal walkway along the coast is a must place to visit from the Breakwater/Port to Bell Block, bikes are available to hire or just enjoy the easy walk. The Wind wand & Len Lye Center is ten minutes away in New Plymouth also visit a few eateries with every type of restaurant imaginable. Many events are planned through the year in New Plymouth with the lights in the park running through from Christmas for 4 weeks and are a must to see with live music and events most nights plus rowing boats to hire on the lake. Travel the Surfers highway and return home via Stratford to complete a trip around our beautiful mountain. Chaddy charter offers a Life boat trip out around the Sugar Loaf islands daily where seals can be seen in Summer, most days the views back to land are fab especially if the mountain is cloud free . Surf comps' are also held along this coastline and many marathon from surf to mountain and cycling events like- Around the Mountain events annually. Recommend a vehicle, off road private parking only a 5 minute drive to the beach and less than 8 minutes drive to Oakura and 12 minutes to the center of New Plymouth.
