Quiet room, comfortable rural home
Set on a few acres of land in a rural neighbourhood, our place offers a comfortable and peaceful retreat that is still close enough to the city for a day trip. We have orchards and gardens for you to relax in, and we are close to coffee shops and supermarkets, parks and bushland. Having a car would be an advantage, and a regular direct train line to the city is 20 minutes drive away. This bedroom is directly across the hall from a private, lockable bathroom. It is a small room with a wardrobe, bedside tables and a pleasant view of gardens, sheds and paddocks. There is a blind to block out the light. A heater or fan can be requested. The bedroom and bathroom are for your private use but you are welcome to use the lounge/ dining, kitchen/ family area, the laundry which is next to the bathroom, and all the gardens. Of particular appeal may be the deck area which gives great views of the property and bushland beyond. There are adjacent bedrooms which will not be rented during your stay so they can be used for suitcases etc. We love to chat with guests but also appreciate the need for privacy and a sense of your own space when travelling. Hopefully we can strike a happy medium of giving you space but being around when you need to know something. It is an easy walk from our place to the village shops, including Aldi, IGA, bakeries, newsagent, pharmacy, gifts and homeware and a number of appealing cafes. The Galston Club, with drinks and meals is also close by. We are close to Fagan Park, a huge rural park that includes lakes, playgrounds and gardens. There is also the Berowra Valley Regional Park within a 5 minute drive, a great place for bushwalking, and Berowra Waters with cafes on the river and boat hire is only a 15 minute drive. Public transport is not a strength of our area, but there are some regular buses to Sydney city that start 10 minutes from our place, plus Hornsby station, giving regular direct access to the city, (45 mins), Gosford and Newcastle, is only a 20 minute drive through Galston Gorge. A car would be desirable when staying in Galston.
