Secluded Shepherd's Hut in the Wye Valley (AONB)

This large Shepherd's Hut has been hand-built to offer bespoke luxery accommodation in the heart of the countryside. Quality finishes have been provided throughout to provide guests with a comfortable, unique experience during their stay. Located close to the Wye Valley (AONB), the hut offers far reaching views as well as a fantastic location from which to explore the local area. Private parking is provided, only accessed via a long, private drive. Wood-fired Hot-tub will arrive end Jan 2021!! The Hut provides a King-sized cot bed, internal bathroom and shower, gas cooking-hobs, wood-burning stove and oven, fridge and fridge freezer, electric radiator, DVD-player, Bluetooth Radio, books, boardgames, hot-water bottles, information on local sites and attractions. Bedding and towels provided. Guests will also receive eggs (from our hens), milk and welsh cakes on arrival. Guests have access to private parking bay and private wood. Guests are allowed to access to wood and also neighbouring field. The Hut is located within it's own private wood which is fenced off allowing for peace of mind for any dogs that are brought along. It is reached via a private drive, with private parking space within the wood. From there a path will lead you through the wood up to the Hut where views across the valley await! There are no neighbours and no houses can be seen directly from the Hut. It is very secluded. The owner is contactable by phone if needed. Local residents include deer (who are often seen from the Hut, especially in the mornings), squirrels, birds etc. The hut is located next to the Wye Valley which offers fantastic walks, sites (Tintern Abbey), castles and activities (canoeing down Wye or cycling in Forest of Dean). Monmouth is the local market town which is a 10 minute drive, providing independent shops, Waitrose, coffee shops, deli, wine shop etc. Monmouthshire is also known as a bit of a foodie destination with a number of Michelin Star restaurants and good eateries. The Whitebrook is a 5 minute drive from the Hut with other resaurants including the famous Walnut Tree near Abergavenny and Parva Farm House in nearby Tintern. A car is required for getting to and from the hut to the local town and amenities. Public transport should not be relied upon.
