We are the perfect location for a stay to visit family or University students, attend an interview, wedding or other celebration. Close to the M6, town centre and the Guild Wheel we are equally suited to leisure and corporate/business bookings & welcome short breaks. The bungalow accommodates 2 adults with an entrance separate from the owners house and there is either roadside or driveway parking available for your use during your stay. The annexe is a freshly completed guest space with an en-suite bathroom with a powerful shower and a Kingsize bed. There is room in the space for a luxury floor mattress - single or Kingsize - if up to 4 want to share the space. You have a private entrance and access to the garden which is a share space with the owners. We are happy to negotiate access to kitchen and laundry on request. The annexe is in the garden of the proprietors but there is a separate entrance for guests. The house is situated on a quiet residential estate alongside a public right of way through an old golf course which leads to the Guild Wheel - a 26 mile pedestrian and cycle way which circles Preston and its surrounding villages. A twenty minute walk along the path will lead to Brockholes Nature Reserve - a beautiful setting for walks or a cup of coffee but a real gem for anyone interested in wildlife, particularly birds. In every direction we are a short drive away from a number of farm shops, beauty spots and beach areas. The property contains a full 'handbook' with details to help you if you are at a loose end. Whilst the city of Preston is clearly an urban area we are within 5 minutes of beautiful countryside both wild and country parks, rural villages to the North, East South and West and lots of cultural events throughout the year easily accessed from this property. If you prefer to sit quiet and enjoy the peace of the private garden then this is an option too - lots of art and crafts materials are available on request. We are on a direct bus route to the town centre but again a twenty minute walk along the main road into the City centre will take you to the shops and all University buildings and Preston's central Avenham Park and Winckley Square areas where you will find beautiful Victorian and Georgian architecture and well established parklands. Blackpool is only 20 minutes away but we also have Lytham, St Annes, Clevelys and Fleetwood on our doorstep. Plus proximity to lovely Lancashire market towns like Longridge, Garstang and Clitheroe. There is a private driveway and parking space for visitors and we have lots of on street parking too. The property is smoke free and pet free but there are three cats living at the main house - no matter how pushy they are do not cave and let them in the annexe!
