Stones Throw is situated right behind The Rising Sun Inn, a quiet family run pub where you can enjoy a pint of local beer or cider Or sit on our private balcony and enjoy a glass of wine with views to the hills behind. 30 seconds to the beach, perfect for swimming, snorkelling & diving & at low tide the lovely sandy beach and rock pools are perfect for children. There is also a working slipway. Prices £85-£105 per night. Free parking space/free wifi. Complimentary tea/ coffee milk on arrival. Bedding and towels, t towels and cleaning essentials are are provided but please bring your own beach towels. There is a washing machine and a clothes airer which can be stood on the balcony to dry. A few tea bags, coffee and sugar, milk cartons will be provided so you can enjoy a cuppa whatever time you arrive but its a good idea to bring some extra with you as the nearest shop is in Mevagissey. The coffee shack sells bread,milk etc too from 10am to about 3pm daily Check in is from 5 pm and check out is by 9am *TO ALLOW TIME TO CLEAN/SANITISE BETWEEN GUESTS* "Stones Throw " is a self catering 2 bedroomed apartment with a small balcony. It is accessed by a flight of concrete steps on the outside of the building leading up from the car park. The car park is shared by 4 other apartments with each having its own allocated space. These are clearly signed. Please make sure you park in the correct space. Due to the steps children under 5 are not permitted. We have many friends who live nearby so any problems can usually be sorted out with a phone call. Although its next door to a pub, it is in a quiet neighbourhood and the pub is closed most nights by midnight ( high season) or earlier at quieter times. Most Cornish tourist attraction's are no more than an hour or so away. The Eden project at St Austell and Heligan gardens are just up the road and there are many footpaths including the coastal path passes right by. The Rising Sun Inn is right next door with views of the beach, where you can enjoy a pint and a pasty or book for the Sunday roast or an evening meal. This family run pub is very family friendly and your 4 legged family members are welcome too. Covid 19 means pub shuts promptly at 10pm and is table service only. Booking advised. Reduced menu see details outside pub. In nearby Mevagissey ( 2 mins drive 10 mins walk) there is a local shop where you can purchase essentials like bread, milk & newspapers. It also has a cash machine. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and gift shops, a museum and a small aqaurium all around the working harbour. You can get a boat trip too , either a pleasure cruise around the bay or a short trip over to Fowey. Alternatively St Austell is 15 mins away where there is Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and Asda ( Tesco and Asda do delivery) Feast week is one of the highlights of the year in Mevagissey and not to be missed. A week long celebration of local food,drink and music in June. The key is in a keysafe and guests will be given the code by text or email prior to arrival upon payment confirmation .CORONA VIRUS -We have committed to the enhanced cleaning as advised by airbnb. As well as cleaning thoroughly between guests as usual our cleaner is giving all knobs, handles,switches and hard surfaces a thorough wipe with anti bac anti viral spray between bookings rather than just a regular dusting. Some anti bac wipes/spray will be provided for guests to use during their stay too. So you can rest assured we are doing everything we can to help stop this awful virus. The apartment is completely self contained with its own separate entrance and the only shared space is the car park so it should be easy to keep at a safe distance from others.Please respect the local community by adhering to any guidelines or restrictions.
