Pretty Farmhouse Cottage: Foxtel/Wifi

Only 8-10 km from iconic Canberra attractions. It's bright and roomy and has a huge area of outdoor space. You'll love the rural setting and great view, and the comfy beds with very good linen. The cottage is in a beautiful heritage area and there are long scenic walks directly from the farmhouse. My place is good for couples and small families. I'm so sorry, but it's not dog-friendly, as it's a real farm with chooks, pet lambs, horses, cattle, sheep, etc. An outstanding feature is the huge verandah - three metres wide and it runs the full length of the back of the house. Covered and private. Plenty of outdoor furniture to make it a pleasant spot for meals. There is a farm gate close by that opens onto a walking trail and a good hike up Mount Painter (we call it Round Hill - the original pioneer name for it). The farm itself is off-limits for children as farm equipment is just too dangerous. Have a chat to me, I'd be only too happy to show you around the area and the beautiful heritage cottages! Five minutes drive away is a Coles, Aldi, Liquorland, banks, etc. 10 mins to Westfield Belconnen and 15 mins to the Canberra Centre and all the excellent city shopping: Apple Centre, Zara, David Jones, Myer, etc. Canberra is a car-based city, but a bus to the city is close by. Once in the city there is an excellent jump on, jump off tourist bus.
