A jewelbox of luxury. an upstairs cottage on Thesen Island in Knysna. A jewelbox of luxury. Queen sized bed wrapped in layers of down, feather, fine cotton, blankets and throws. DSTV, WIFI, DVD player. The Kitchenette is well stocked in superior quality and includes a Nespresso coffee machine and a generously appointed picnic bag. The bathroom has a shower and a heated towel rail to ensure your fluffy white towels are always ready for you. There is a large deck with pretty views. Upstairs, private and completely separate from the main house. The cottage is located on Thesen Island which is a secure estate, with access control. I am usually on Thesen island and if not, will be close by. Thesen Island is a beautiful estate made up of many islands. it is secure and accordingly offers peace of mind. There are tennis courts, squash courts, walking paths, a maze, a bird hide, a private beach, a park and more. restaurants, tappas bars, beauty and hair salons and coffee shops are a leisurely stroll away. The Waterfront is a 20 minute walk away and boasts fabulous food, shopping, boat cruises and more. There is not an official public transport system in Knysna. In my opinion, Knysna and the surrounding areas are best explored by car. Thesen island is magnificent in its simplicity and offers the ultimate in relaxation, because of the security. Biometric details are recorded for guests and accordingly, only authorised people are on the island at any time.
