The Crest Hilltop Retreat is a private, detached house with hot tub and log burner. The house has stunning views of the valley and village below, beautiful local walks from the doorstep and is close to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Other local attractions include Bike Park Wales, Cwmcarn Forest, Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and The Big Pit National Coal Museum. The village has a train station with 40 minute direct trains to Cardiff Central. Dogs welcome. We have a long drive which will accommodate up to 5 cars , and also very close street parking. Hello All, Hopefully I will be there to greet you but this is not always possible, please feel free to call me anytime if you have any queries or questions ... I am here to help! I hope you'll love my place as much as I do! Wishing you all a fabulous stay at The Crest ... Regards Tracy The Crest is set in a private hillside location with a footpath running along the side of the property which leads to beautiful valley and hill top walks making it perfect for hikers and dog walkers. The footpath is quiet and mainly used by locals who are extremly friendly and always ready for a chat! The local village pub is a 5 minute walk downwards and maybe 15 mins back upwards! The village also houses a railway station (with free parking) with a direct 40 minute link to Cardiff Central (£7.70 day return). There is also a number of takeaways which all deliver and a local convenience store. Our nearest supermarket is Tesco superstore in Abertillery and is a 10 minute drive. The Llanhilleth valley is just beautiful and an ideal base for exploring Wales. Llanhilleth is right in the welsh valleys with good road links, bus route and local train station. We have a BBQ area which we recommend you bring a disposable BBQ to place on it ! Also a gamesroom separate from the house in the summer house also with the fabulous views !
