Enchanting cottage with breathtaking river views.

Over 300 year old Toll cottage with a rich Welsh history situated on the enchanting river Towy in Carmarthenshire. It has 2 spacious bedrooms and a bathroom done up to a high standard on the ground floor, the second bedroom leads on to decking over the river. The open plan kitchen/living room as well as a second toilet are on the first floor with another entrance onto decking making the most of the amazing views up and down river. The only neighbour is also the care taker for the cottage. This is an upside down cottage with the bedrooms downstairs and the living area upstairs. The very high ceiling upstairs has allowed the addition of a mezzanine with a sky light which opens fully and allows one to feel they are in the surrounding trees. Guests will have access to the entire house apart from a cabinet and chest in the mezzanine and a single cupboard replacing the fire place in the second bedroom. The garden extends to the river edge and the fence at the rear. There is parking for two cars at the back of the cottage which is entranced by the gate to the left of the house. My only neighbour, Lucy will be available in person and I am available by email or (Hidden by Airbnb) . The area is rural with numerous walks and cycle riding. The river is navigable by canoe. There is a lovely Pub called The Railway Hotel just over the bridge in the village of Nantgaredig. Wrights Emporium is about 15 minutes by car and is an amazing French Bistro type place owned by Simon Wright, Michelin star chef. A lovely awarding winning restaurant is just up the road called Y Polyn. Brechfa forest is about 15 minutes away by car and has amazing walks and cycle trails. Carmarthen is 15 minutes away by car and has an undercover market and a castle steeped in history. The Botanical gardens are 10 minutes away by car. Llan Stefan beach and castle are about 20 minutes away by car and has fantastic beaches and panoramic views from the castle. There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away which goes to Carmarthen every hour. There is a railway station in Carmarthen and taxis are cheap and can be prebooked. This is a self catering cottage but there is a welcome pack which includes toilet rolls, coffee and milk to get you started. Carmarthen is 10 minutes away by car. There are numerous walks in forests, up to castles or on beaches within 20 minutes by car and Swansea is 30 minutes away. There are maps and brochures in the living room.
