Wonderful old garden setting with many significant trees. Guests can enjoy a hobby farm environment with direct private access to over 300m Yarra river frontage. The unit includes kitchenette with microwave, toaster, mini fridge, electric stove/oven, TV, electric heating/cooling and it's own bathroom with shower. Tea, coffee and basic provisions provided Suitable for singles or couples No pets because of farm animals The Yarra River frontage includes the famous river bend where the river deepens and widens. The resident platypus can often be seen early morning and at dusk. Guests can fish, canoe, picnic or swim at the river bend. There is off street parking and room for larger vehicles. The Warburton Rail Trail is located opposite Platypus Den, perfect for a nice walk or bike ride. Warburton township is a 10 - 15 walk away, where you can enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee in one of the many cafes or visit the famous Warburton Waterwheel. Explore the area La La Falls, Upper Yarra Dam and Redwoods Forest, just to name a few of the local sights, being only a short drive away. Platypus Den is accessible by public transport with a bus stop close by. Suitable for singles or couples. Currently available for two guests or a group of four using ‘The Coach House’, the re-purposed original Coach House on the property. Contact our office to book both The Coach House and Platypus Den for groups of three or four guests.
