The Garden House is a converted Victorian Milking Parlour within the grounds of Fosse Farmhouse B&B.This ground floor property has 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and a single bed with ensuite bathrooms. 20 minutes from Bath and Bristol ideal for touring the Cotswolds and Stonehenge and the Badminton Horse Trials are only 10 minutes drive away.A public footpath leads from the house to the beautiful Cotswolds village of Castle Combe where there are two pubs and a children's playground. The Garden House at Fosse Farmhouse sleeps 6. This former 18th Century dairy building was rebuilt and remodelled in 2004 and now offers stunning contemporary interiors with under floor heating, French solid oak and limestone floors. The property comprises of a single storey building with entrance lobby and fitted cupboards with doors leading to the master bedroom featuring vaulted ceilings and a dramatic 4 poster bed & single bed. The living room has a working fireplace, vaulted ceiling and French oak plank floors. TV, DVD, CD, WiFi. Fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops, electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, washing machine, dishwasher. French doors leading to patio and large private garden. Barbecue and boules. Glazed atrium dining room with limestone floors leading to second bedroom with double bed + single bed and ensuite shower , basin and WC. Under floor heating throughout with instant hot water. We are located 20 minutes from Bath in the Cotswolds an area of outstanding natural beauty. London is one and a half hours by car or there is a regular train service to Chippenham from Paddington station. A large garden behind the property provides a safe play area for children and party events and there is a terrace with family barbecue. The house is on the ground floor you will have the property to yourself. There is private parking immediately outside. The owner Caron and her staff live on the premises and are available to assist guests with all their day to day requirements and plan sightseeing in the area.On arrival we will show you to the house and explain all the details.The Cotswolds and Badminton Horse Trials are just 10 minutes drive from the property. Further afield Stonehenge and Longleat are 45 minutes away.In the neighbouring Farmhouse Cream Tea's are served throughout the summer months and guests staying in The Garden House can also enjoy an English Breakfast by advance reservation. The surrounding countryside is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are plenty of public footpaths to discover and quiet country lanes for cycling and Horse Riding.The nearest village of Castle Combe is a 20 minute walk.In the next village we have a Post Office and stores and two pubs with good Home Made food.A car is necessary as there is no public transport in the village. To arrive here by train take First Great Western from London Paddington to Chippenham and then take a taxi to Fosse Farmhouse.The National Trust village of Lacock is a must see for families with children as it is the place where Harry Potter was filmed.Bath has the Thermae Bath Spa which is the only natural hot springs in Great Britain and The Christmas market is not to be missed. There is no public transport in the village therefore a car is the most practical option although we are happy to arrange taxi's for our customers. The Farmhouse next door serves delicious Home made Cream Teas throughout the summer months. We can accept a home delivery from a supermarket in advance of your arrival and put in in the kitchen for you. Dinner can also be reserved in the Farmhouse B&B by advance reservation. We are licensed to serve alcohol to our guests when dining.
