We are delighted to invite you to come and enjoy Once & Floral Cottage. We're sure you will appreciate the peaceful rural setting and native birdsong. Less than 1 hour from the Auckland city. This is a private whole dwelling where you can truly wind down and relax. Enjoy an outdoor bath under the stars and then cuddle up in front of a warm fire. The perfect peaceful and romantic escape! Now with no cleaning fee. The cottage shares a picturesque 3 acres with the hosts, however there is plenty of privacy and a wonderful rural outlook. The master bedroom (with queen bed) is located inside the main living area. The second bedroom (with double bed) is accessed via the large covered deck area. Please note: you have to go outside to access this room. Now with additional fold up single bed supplied. Just in case the kids need to sleep inside with mum and dad. Off street parking for 2/4 vehicles. Fantastic wood fireplace keeps the whole house toasty in winter (wood and kindling etc supplied). The kitchen has a fridge, cutlery, plates, glasses, cups, serve-wear, pots & pans, toaster, kettle etc. Tea, milk and coffee (including plunger coffee) will be supplied. However please be aware that there is livestock on the property including dogs, chickens and sheep so make sure you close any gates you open. There is also a large pine forest to explore. Your hosts do live onsite however the cottage is a total separate space and is very private. We might say a quick hello if we see you around the property. However, we really want you to enjoy the peace and quiet so we will most likely just leave you to enjoy your own space. LOCATION Located in the quiet country town of Kaukapakapa a small rural village 50 minutes drive from Auckland CBD, 60 minutes drive from Auckland Airport. An excellent location to stay for West Auckland wedding guests. Just 5mins to Waterfall Farm, 10mins to Bridgewater Country Estate, and 20mins to Kumeu Valley Estate. Local attractions include Gibbs’s Farm, Kaipara Coast sculpture gardens, and Omeru reserve & waterfalls. Helensville which is 15 minutes away there are some great little shops, a couple of cafes, and for your convenience - a medical centre and supermarket. Via the back roads, we are just 20min drive to wineries (The Hunting Lodge) and 25min drive to Kumeu. We're also a 25min drive to the East coast (Orewa) and the West coast (Muriwai), so you have loads of options to keep yourself busy on a day out. We might say a quick hello if we see you.
