Welcome to my beautiful cozy home studio. Located close to the old canals of Bangkok, my place takes you back to see how life in Bangkok was like with wood houses and canal living. Despite that, everything is in a walking distance, from restaurants, fresh markets, schools, bus, the famous Artist House and the closest Skytrain station is only 5 mins walk away. Feel the vibe of the old days, enjoy the convenience of the new SkyTrain system and explore the city like a local. This beautiful charming house has two floors. Downstairs is where you will share the common area with other guests (if there is) and me (if I am around) It includes a bathroom with shower, dining table, kitchen and a small garden. There's also a microwave, water filter, plates, pots, utensils and fridge available if you need. Feel free to use the kitchen or the fridge. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, your room is in the middle. There is no A/C for environmental reasons but we have a fan and a cooling fan for you instead. During the rainy and winter season (from July to early February), you may not even need them on as the air itself is quite cooling. Your room is bright and is fully furnished with a queen size bed, cloth rack, chairs, lamps and a bedside table. You also have a balcony to chill out and get some fresh air. The bed is comfy and you can feel a breeze of air coming in if you leave the windows open. If you need anything, simply let me know. 😊 Garden, balcony, kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom I stay there a few times a week... Expect me to go in and out if I'm around. And maybe if time allows, I don't mind showing you around this area or take you our for a meal too. But if I'm not around, feel free to enjoy yourself. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to give me a shout via phone or text. This charming cozy home is hidden in a small local alley on the Thonburi beside of Bangkok, the old city before the capital was moved to the other side of Chaopraya River. That means there is a lot of old city vibe of people who actually live here. You can also see the canals living or even get food from the boat or see people making an offering to the monks early in the morning. You can see life of Bangkokkians with different eyes. A life that people work, where everyone knows everyone, the market in the temple or school kids running around. Despite the old vibe, there is a new skytrain station just steps away (it's not even listed on (Hidden by Airbnb) map yet!). Currently it's a test run period during which you can take the train for free from 7am to 9pm. It can take you to the Grand Palace and Chinatown in 10 minutes for free!! You can also walk to the Artist house to see the free puppet show or grab the mango sticky rice just across the canal from the artist house. Life is simple yet beautiful and I can't wait for you to see it with your own eyes. 😊 Getting around is really easy. The closest Skytrain station. Has just opened and it is test running for free of charge from 7am to 9pm. You can head to Chinatown, Grand Palace or Hua Lampong station within minutes. For a cheaper route, you can take the bus (8-10 bht without A/C and less than 20 bht with A/C) We don't have an A/C for environmental & health reasons. But there's a constant natural breeze that you will feel if you open the windows on both side. The room is also equipped with a fan and/or air cooler. Please make yourself at home and feel free to text me if you need anything.
