Welcome to my home! I have a Jack Russell terrier named Patrick, he's excellent, and 13 years old. I've a Yamaha U3 piano here as well. BP Service Station around the corner. Bus stops to city nearby. Beautiful suburb of Mairehau with Lady Dianna Issac Village 3 minutes walk away. Your bedroom has a brand new amazingly comfy double bed & appointed with quality bed linen, tallboy, wardrobe, good heating. I can do your laundry for you - $5 includes wash and dry.. Clean, tidy, immaculate & spacious home. Quiet cul-de-sac street, peaceful. Outside breakfast patio overlooking lovely lawn. You can sit in the sunny living room & dining room whenever you wish. At times I'll be teaching piano in there so access is limited at those times. You have a shared bathroom, and access to my shared living room. Cooking is not permitted, but you can use my microwave to heat takeaways. You have your own fridge-freezer in my kitchen. Your breakfast is self-serve. You are welcome to eat food here that does not need cooking (other than microwave). I will probably be working at home most of the time or teaching piano. It's a lovely neighbourhood to go walking in with streams, trees & native shrubs & brand new streets with modern houses. Lovely Buller Stream Walkway with walking distance from my house. Turn right out of front door, onto Chilton Drive, 1st left into little walkway (not a street), then left again onto the footpath & keep walking along with your stream on the left, past the retirement village, then the native marsh is straight in front of you. This nature reserve was opened in March 2019. Not to be missed if you love nature. Just a 5 minute drive to stylish Merivale Shopping Precinct which has a plethora of bars & restaurants, and shopping including a supermarket. The Canterbury Crusaders Rugby team training ground just a 4 minute drive from here, on Innes Road. Easy access to the city, the beach, and the Wetlands. My home is in a cul-de-sac (dead end street) so you will have a very lovely quiet time here. This is a friendly neighbourhood so neighbours will often say "Hello" to you if they see you out walking! I have plenty of safe and free street parking for your vehicle. Plenty of bus stops/shops/service station/pharmacy/takeaways within 5 minute walking distance from house. I'm happy to show you the bus routes into the city. My place is a 60 minute walk to the city. To get to my place from the airport (if you don't have a car), take the number 29 bus from the airport to the Central Bus Exchange on Lichfield Street. Then take the number 44 bus to the suburb of Mairehau, get off the bus by the Green BP service station on Innes Road (nearly opposite Our Lady of Fatima School), and it's just an 8 minute walk to my house in Chilton Drive. Come to my front door on left hand side of property & ring doorbell. To get to the Central Bus exchange in the city - from my place - take the number 44 bus on the other side of Innes Road, an 8 mins walk from here, on the main road (Innes Road). The bus stop on the shops side, will take you into the city bus exchange where you can catch another bus anywhere. The bus stop on the opposite side of the road (nearest side to us), will take you to The Palms Shopping Mall which has a large Supermarket and many shops. Any of the green Orbiter buses will take you to a shopping mall (and back) with a supermarket. For bus info - ask me for the link to the Metro Info website. The information centre is on Worcester Boulevard in the city. You can take the number 44 bus on the shops side of Innes Road, to get to the central bus exchange, then take a short walk to the Information Centre. ☆ Airbnb does not accept third party bookings.
