Courtyard setting near Airport-1

Addiston Mains is a home away from home and although it is really handy for the airport, city and travel to other parts of Scotland it retains a relaxing and comfortable country feel with a modern style. The many repeat visitors is testimony to that. This is a beautifully and newly decorated double room or family room. It has an en-suite bathroom with over head shower. There is also a wet room close by. This is a ground floor room with easy access and in an attractive and secure courtyard setting. There is a large tv sitting room with bar and kitchen facilities which is for the sole use of our guests. This also has a rural and peaceful outlook. Separate and private entry to rooms from courtyard. The property has a large well equipped gym and studio which is also available to guests. Addiston Mains was a farm and is now a residential property tastefully refurbished. It is is nearly 200 hundred years old and used to be part of the Dalmahoy Estate. One of the present Lord's sons used to live here. Guests would benefit from having a car and road and rail links are excellent from here for going to many nearby local attractions. The train link into the city takes only 9 mins from Edinburgh Park and truly makes this an ideal place to stay for access to the city and surrounding areas. The park and ride is 1 mile from Addiston Mains for easy bus travel. The airport is only a few minutes drive away- really! This is a peaceful place with loads to do very close by including the Edinburgh International Climbing Centre, Pentland Hills, Gyle Centre, Cinema, Golf, Hillend ski slope, Union Canal walks and so the list goes on. There is plenty space for guests while staying at Addiston Mains. There is a gym which is fully equipped. There is a large garden and open aspect where guests are free to wander. There is also a separate private garden for the family. There is also a sitting area with table and chairs outside. I have found the interaction with our AIRBNB guests is unique. Some guests like to spend more time chatting than others. Some guests like to spend more time undisturbed. We find a flexible approach works best for both us and guests. There will be someone to meet guests on arrival and we live in a separate part of the house but still on site. I love Addiston Mains for its semi rural position so close to the city. Our nearest neighbours are a few minutes walk away and yet we can be in the heart of the city in less than 15 mins. Although we are very close to the airport we are on the opposite side from the flight path. We have never had a plane go overhead and hear no plane noise. On a clear night the stars are very clear and there is a sense of peace and calm about the whole property. Addiston Mains is best suited to transport by car. The city park and ride is 1 mile away with a good bus service direct to the city. There is a bus that stops about 400 yards away. We are close enough to the airport for taxi or by prior arrangement for us to pick you up. The train into the city takes about 6 mins and there are 2 stations about 5 mins drive away. Again we often drop guests off there. The new tram service is also about 7-8 mins away and will be an additional option into the city.
