The Stables is located in a rural position on a quiet lane on the side of the hill and conveniently off the A38 just outside the lovely village of South Brent. It is a short distance from both Dartmoor and all the superb beaches of the South Hams. It is also halfway between Exeter and Plymouth and ideal as a stop on the way to Cornwall. The views from the grounds of the property overlooking Dartmoor are exceptional. The Eco House is quirky with all mod cons. A light , airy EcoHouse with large comfortable 2 bedrooms . Spacious sitting room, bathroom with generous pressure shower , huge bath. kitchen with breakfast bar, microwave and dishwasher. Parking right outside. Fresh clean bedding and soft towels, ground coffee , tea and milk are provided. . Victorian style Log burner with plentiful waste wood and logs also provided. Electric heating, wifi. Tv and records .Outside dining. I provide freshly ground coffee tea and sugar and complimentary milk in the fridge. Outside and apart from the views already mentioned is an outdoor dining area and barbecue space. I can provide a barbeque and charcoal for £ 10 ,or bring your own disposable one Infants are welcome, as are well behaved dogs. I like to welcome guests on arrival but am equally happy to leave them to arrive when they choose and familiarise themselves with the property and its workings by reading the helpful manual provided. I always check in with them at some point after arrival to ensure they are settled in. I am always available by text should guests need me We are easily accesed from the A 38 and situated midway between Exeter and Plymouth. 1 mile nearby is the charming moorland village of South Brent with all the facilities you would expect from a working village . Dartmoor is just acros the valley and good views of it are available from the fields at the property. The fantastic beaches of south Devon are a short drive away as are the interesting towns of Totnes and Dartmouth. The main line railway station is at Totnes , only 5 miles away. Dartmoor is only 10 minutes drive away. the beaches are 15 minutes drive. We are rural and in the Devon country side.The property is primarily constructed from rammed earth in used tyre cases with sheepswool insulation beneath a stirling board timber frame with maple insulated flooring This means that we have wildlife in the form of rodents and small animals such as rabbits and badgers in the fields . we control our mice, squirrel and rat population so that guests do not generally come int contact with them outside. We have not had any unwelcome animals inside and ask that guests keep doors closed and food protected so that cannot happen. We are of course aware that some guests have thought that by writing adverse comments about rodents they might receive a refund, or suggesting the house is damp and neglected. Neither of these are true and we do not give refunds, if a guest has a genuine concern we ask them to take it up with us at the time so that we may rectify. In genuine unsolvable situations we can issue a credit to be used for future stays
