Delightful, period first floor flat, with own entrance. 3 minute walk to train station - direct line to Glasgow and Motherwell ( rail exchange to Edinburgh). Ideally situated to explore New Lanark World Heritage Site and Clyde Walkway. This property is not suitable for young children below 7. There is a small, secure courtyard available for pets/ bike storage. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen, large, refurbished bathroom with shower and bath. Superfast 2 (70Mbps) Broadband. Central location, close to all amenities- including a large swimming pool in the local leisure centre about 5 mins walk from flat. Small courtyard available for use with pets/bikes. Not suitable for children to use for playing. I live 2 mins away or am easily contactable by phone. The Royal Burgh of Lanark is an old market town, steeped in history- the famous connection being William Wallace and his wife Marion, who came from Lanark. New Lanark World Heritage site is also steeped in history- explore the legacy of Robert Owen and his New Lanark vision. Lanark is a vibrant market town with its own entertainment venues/pubs. The flat is situated close to Lanark Memorial Hall, which has numerous productions and bands throughout the year- definitely worth trying to see a show if your time permits. There are numerous places to eat out and a plethora of takeaways in the town, together with more traditional pubs, and those with live bands. More details can be found in the information folder within the flat. Frequent rail service direct to Glasgow Central Station (50 mins approx) with associated stops along the way. Connect at Motherwell/Bellshill for Manchester Airport/Edinburgh Haymarket or Waverley station. You can also travel direct to Edinburgh from Carstairs railway station which is a 10 minute drive from Lanark. Frequent bus service to Hamilton and surrounding areas, including New Lanark World Heritage Site. This property is not suitable for wheelchair using guests due to the inaccessibility of flat entrance. There are stairs up to the flat with rails on either side which may assist with certain mobility issues eg: I was able to enter the flat with a broken leg! Although there is no dedicated flat parking, there is unrestricted public parking to the rear of the property. This is on a first come, first serve basis. Not usually an issue at weekends and before 0830 and after 1600 if you move your car. There is a Pets At Home and Vets within 5 mins drive. Regretfully, due to the age, nature and decor in the flat, it is unsuitable for children under 7 years of age. Gas and electricity are included in the rental price. The main radiators have thermostatic valves. Please adjust for your comfort. We would respectfully request that you are mindful of fair usage and switch off lights and turn the heating down when leaving the property. Please note- the Dinosaurs will will reappear June 2022 until September 2022.
