Welcome to Herbal Rooms Homestay for your truly herbal aromatherapy experience. Scented Herbal Rooms are surrounded by pleasant aroma from the herbs. You will find herbs in different parts of the room. Aromatic dried herbs are placed in your pillow (they will not disturb your beauty sleep ;)) and a potpourri jar works as a natural air freshener. Are you surprised? Well, in a cosy herbal accommodation you will also find hand-crafted wooden bedroom set (crates for pullovers, stand up tree for the jackets, chairs). Fresh towels and bed linen are provided as well. A bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, is super clean and used for our guests only. During the summer time the water pressure in the shower is weak due to watering the gardens in the village. Thank you for understanding! Herbal room Matej provides 2 twin beds (90x200cm) and is suitable for solo travelers and traveling friends. In the room you will find unique wardrobe for your clothes, fresh bed linen (each pillow has hand-picked herbs inside but if you don't want to have them inside you can easily take them out), towels, table. Room has also an exit on the balcony. Real aromatherapy for all of your senses! Smell flowers on the garden and observe Ivan, master of making wood crates, listen to the song of birds and wind. On the ground floor of the family house is a place for us, your hosts. In the winter time you can sit beside wood-burning stove and observe Karmen while crocheting. During hot summer time you can relax in the hammock/sunbeds on our garden or help us with farming or simply with preparing barbecues. In the garage there is a place to store your bicycle. Tiny village Plave, which played an important role in WW1 (Ernest Hemingway mention it in his book „A Farewell to Arms“), is located on the crossroads between Soca valley, wine region of Goriska Brda, Banjsice and Trnovo plateau. All these regions where the Mediterranean meets the Alpine climate, offer unique opportunities, small local festivals, off the beaten track experiences (hiking, biking, exploring bunkers from WW1, climbing, downhill mountain biking, paragliding, tasting local food) and hands-on activities with locals. When taking a shower, be responsible with water. Take a short shower and save the water. Because Herbal Rooms Homestay is located in the countryside the villagers are working in their gardens (mowing the lawn, logging trees, etc.) from the morning to the evening so some noise is expected. Between 11am and 6pm Herbal Rooms Homestay is closed for cleaning and using AC which is placed in the corridor to cool down the whole house. Tourist tax and promotional tax (1,50 EUR/adult/night; 0,75 EUR/child/night between 7 and 18 years old) are not included in the final price.
