The extensive, picturesque gardens at Tara, are the evolution of +150 years of development and care-taking by its numerous owner. Tara’s garden has been transformed into a beautiful and free flowing garden that is not restricted by formal design. Guildford is small but picturesque village, which was once part of an area known as the “ Golden Triangle” in central Victoria; the scene of the famous gold rush of the 1850’s. Tara B&B, is conveniently situated on a timelessly beautiful property in the centre of the delightful township of Guildford. Tara bnb and Guildford with the famous 500 plus year old 'big tree', timeless General store and beautiful mountains is priceless in it self, however the surrounding areas of Castlemaine(10 min away) and Daylsford (20 min away) are towns not to be missed We like to welcome you by being on the property at the time of arrival and showing you around if you would like. If arrival time changes and we cannot be present we leave the keys at a location at property for pick up and your cheese or antipasto platter will be in the fridge for your arrival . We are happy to answer any queries prior to stay and during stay as we are not far from the cottages and will assist as best as we can. Guildford is a special sort out place to unwind and enjoy the serenity of beautiful mountains and clear blu sky's . Only 10 min from Castlemaine and 20 min from Daylsford. Once you arrive at Guildford our Tara property is in the heart of the town .. however the cottages are set at the back of the property where you may park your car in a private allocated parking with in the property . When on the midland hwy you will need to turn on Turner street ( Cnr of Tara property) and then turn right on Franklin street where there is a Tara cottages entrance .
